Fans fume as disgraced NFL star DeShaun Watson appears on Selling Sunset with girlfriend Jilly Anais – three years after being accused of sexual assault by multiple women
Disgraced NFL quarterback DeShaun Watson made a guest appearance on the final season of Selling Sunset, sparking outrage from fans online.
Watson, whose return to the Cleveland Browns last weekend proved to be a disaster, appears alongside his girlfriend Jilly Anais in season eight of the hit reality series, which follows a group of real estate agents in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old and his partner of five years star alongside regular cast members Jason Oppenheim and Amanza Smith as they search for a new home in LA to make the most of the NFL offseason.
However, fans have criticized producer Netflix for giving Watson screen time. In 2021, Watson was accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
The then Houston Texans star player faced 26 sexual abuse lawsuits, 23 of which he has settled. The remaining cases are expected to be settled through civil proceedings.

Though he has not yet been criminally charged, the NFL has suspended him for 11 games during the 2022 season and fined him $5 million.
Given his scandalous past, Watson’s cameo in Selling Sunset has caused a lot of outrage on social media.
Someone wrote on X: ‘Why the hell is Deshaun Watson on Selling Sunset and why are they all pretending he hasn’t been accused of sexual assault 30 times???
Another posted: ‘why the hell is that QB on Selling Sunset – please get him off my screen’.
“I know this isn’t Deshaun Watson and his girlfriend on the show. Please leave us alone,” a third said.
A fourth said: ‘Why do they have D*shaun W*tson on Selling Sunset now?’
One of them took aim at the creators of the series, saying: “It is absolutely disgusting that Netflix producers allow Deshaun Watson to appear in Selling Sunset, when the series is actually intended to emphasize the empowerment of women.”

Watson signed the largest guaranteed contract in NFL history at the time when he signed a $230 million deal with the Browns. In 2022, the Browns traded six draft picks, including three first-round picks, to the Texans.
After spending most of his time in Cleveland sidelined by injury and his NFL suspension, he threw two interceptions and recorded six sacks in Sunday’s 33-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Many consider Watson’s trade to the Browns to be one of the worst in history, considering what it cost the organization and the little benefit they got out of it. Sunday’s game was only his 13th appearance for the Browns.
