Fans claim Tyson Fury has been hit by ‘karma’ as resurfaced clip of Gypsy King sending disrespectful five-word message to Oleksandr Usyk goes viral

  • Tyson Fury suffered his second straight defeat against Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday
  • The Gypsy king previously said he was not interested in fighting the Ukrainian
  • He branded his rival a ‘little cruiserweight’ who ‘didn’t set anything on fire’

An old clip of Tyson Fury delivering a brutal putdown to Oleksandr Usyk has gone viral following his defeat on Saturday, prompting fans to claim he had been hit by ‘karma’.

Fury lost 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards after an enthralling showdown in Saudi Arabia, ending his dream of stripping his Ukrainian rival of his WBA, WBC and WBO titles and marking his only career setback revenge fell to pieces.

The Gypsy King stormed out of the ring after being shown the scorecards and insisted he had won the fight by ‘at least three rounds’, while his promoter Frank Warren said he was ‘stunned’ by the result and the wide margin of victory.

However, unimpressed social media users were quick to pile the misery on Fury after an earlier video of his scathing message to Usyk resurfaced.

During an interview, Fury controversially criticized ‘foreigner’ Usyk’s English and insisted the world heavyweight champion should be from Britain or the US.

“He’s a small cruiserweight,” Fury said. ‘A foreigner doesn’t speak English well and no one is really interested. Anyway, he doesn’t set anything on fire.

“I want the big fights that people are interested in. And that’s not one of them. It still wouldn’t be a big fight. He is still a foreigner in a westernized world.

‘The belts are back in the west and will stay there. Whatever it sounds like, the heavyweight champion should come from Britain or America, and nowhere else.

‘Because he may be a big star in Ukraine, but Britain or America are not interested in some Ukrainian, and that’s just the way it is.

‘The heavyweight champion of the world must be in the West. That’s how it goes.’

Commenting on the video, one X user simply said, “Karma is a wonderful thing.”

Another wrote: ‘I loved how Usyk humiliated his big mouth like that.’

“He thought it was something [sic] easy fight after Dubois and now he lost everything,” said another user, accompanied by a crying laughing emoji.

A fourth posted: ‘This ended well.’

A fifth wrote: ‘After seeing this I’m glad it’s done.’

Fury shared his disbelief after the fight, saying: ‘I thought I won that fight. I thought I won both fights, but I’m going home with two losses under my belt.

‘I can’t do much about it. I can just fight my heart out.

“I will believe until the day I die that I won that fight. I was aggressive, standing on the front foot all night and landing on the body and head.

“Frank Warren had me three or four laps ahead. Many people had at least two rounds ahead of me. But I’m not going to cry over spilled milk. I can’t change the decision.

“If you don’t get the KO, this happens, you can’t guarantee a win.”
