Fans call Miami police ‘racist’ after shocking video of Tyreek Hill being violently hit during traffic violation stop sparks outrage
Fans called Miami-Dade police racist after Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was pulled over en route to the season opener at home to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Hill was a block away from Hard Rock Stadium when he was arrested and handcuffed face down.
After a clip showed a police officer rushing towards Hill and punching him during his arrest, X users immediately called them out on the excessive force used during what was described as a “minor” traffic violation.
“Why are they doing him like that? That’s my question because he’s black,” a user wrote.
‘Racist officers tried to arrest Tyreek Hill’ another added. ‘That’s nonsense.’

‘@MiamiDadePD you have some explaining to do for the racist shit your officers pulled on Tyreek Hill this morning,’ a third wrote. ‘Clearly at least one of your officers thought he was an easy target as a black man with a nice car. Racist enough? When there is no accountability, expect @CivilRights.’
A fourth fan agreed in and wrote: ‘Tyreek Hill is going to have a monster game today after being arrested by some racist cops before today’s Dolphins game.’
