Fans beg Kim Kardashian to help CEO shooter suspect Luigi Mangione with her criminal justice work
Fans are calling on Kim Kardashian to ‘help’ Luigi Mangione, who is suspected in the shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, after his arrest.
Thompson, 50, was fatally shot in the middle of New York City on Wednesday, December 4, in what police say was a targeted attack on the health care boss.
A manhunt was launched and on Monday Mangione – a 26-year-old Ivy League-educated “anti-capitalist” – was apprehended at a McDonald’s location in Pennsylvania after an employee recognized him and reported him to authorities.
While he remains jailed on murder charges, Mangione has amassed a passionate cult following online, with many praising him for “sacrificing himself for society.”
And now, fans of Kardashian – who has been studying to become a lawyer since 2018 – are pleading with her to intervene and help Mangione in his legal battle.

“Someone please contact Kim Kardashian and tell her to protect Luigi Mangione, he can’t go to jail,” another tweeted.
Many hoped that Kardashian would ‘represent’ Mangione in court – despite not being a licensed lawyer – while others jokingly asked her to feature the handsome suspect in the next campaign for her clothing brand SKIMS.
One person on[Mangione is] lowkey modern prison bae kim kardashian is currently looking for ways to release him!! the inevitable skims campaign will destroy the internet…’
While many felt it was possible that Kardashian could help Mangione, others felt that it was unlikely that a billionaire, like her, would go against “corrupt rich people.”

The 26-year-old was arrested Monday in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after a McDonald’s customer recognized him and notified an employee, authorities said. Police in Altoona, about 230 miles west of New York City, were quickly called to the scene.
They arrived to find Mangione sitting at a table in the back of the restaurant, wearing a blue medical mask and looking at a laptop, according to a criminal complaint from Pennsylvania State Police.
He initially gave them a fake ID, but when an officer asked Mangione if he had been to New York recently, he “became quiet and started shaking,” the complaint said.
When he pulled down his mask at the officers’ request, “we knew this was our guy,” rookie officer Tyler Frye said at a news conference in Hollidaysburg.
New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a news conference in Manhattan that Mangione was carrying a gun like the one used to kill Thompson and the same fake ID the gunman had used to check into a New York hostel, along with a passport and other fraudulent IDs. .
From surveillance footage, New York investigators determined that the gunman fled on a bicycle to Central Park, emerged and then took a taxi to a bus station in northern Manhattan.
Once in Pennsylvania, he went from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, “trying to keep a low profile” by avoiding cameras, said Lt. Col. George Bivens of the Pennsylvania State Police.
NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny said Mangione had a three-page handwritten document showing “ill will toward corporate America.”
A law enforcement official who was not authorized to publicly discuss the investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity said the document included a sentence in which Mangione claimed to have acted alone.
“I’ll keep it short for the FBI because I respect what you do for our country. To spare you a lengthy investigation, I clearly state that I have not collaborated with anyone,” the official said in the document.
It also included a sentence that said, “I apologize for any conflict or trauma, but it had to be done.” Honestly, these parasites just got it.”
At the murder scene, officers found bullets and shell casings with the words “delay,” “deny” and “depose” scrawled on them. The words mimic a phrase used to criticize the insurance industry.
