The incident took place in the 55th minute of the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal, with Kane being shown the yellow card for his actions.
But video replays, especially in slow motion, suggest the elbow was more malignant than first thought and could have led to the Englishman’s sacking in north London.
