Fans are convinced they have spotted Middletons at wedding in Jordan

As 4,000 guests descend on Jordan’s Al Husseiniya Palace for the wedding reception of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al-Saif, royal fans think they may have seen some familiar faces among them.

On Twitter, people are convinced that Carole Middleton, Pippa Middleton and her husband James Matthews are in the crowd at the reception tonight.

When Queen Rania and King Abdullah appeared in the forefront of a shot during the wedding reception’s live stream, fans said they thought Carole and Pippa were in the background, both dressed in blue dresses.

Next to them is a tall man who people think could be James Matthews.

The Middletons are no strangers to Jordan, where they lived when the kids were young because of Mike’s job, while the Princess of Wales harbored a fondness for the country.

Next to her is another brunette young woman, who is believed to be Pippa and the man next to her is believed to be James Middleton.

Although the Princess of Wales is present at the event with Prince William, who represents the British royal family, it has not been officially confirmed whether the guests in question are her relatives.

The Middleton family spent three years in Jordan in the early 1980s, starting when Kate was just two years old, after her father Michael, a British Airways executive, moved to Amman for work.

After the ceremony between the newlyweds this afternoon, Prince William and Kate stopped for a few minutes to chat with the newlyweds.

Kate gave the bride and groom a friendly kiss on the cheek as she and William congratulated the happy couple.

Kate even wore the same Lebanese designer as the bride – Elie Saab – as she donned a blush pink gown for the event.

Princess Beatrice, 34, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 39, also attended the big day.

They were all greeted by Queen Rania and King Abdullah when they arrived at the palace before the ceremony began.

The presence of the British royals – spotted last night at a luxury hotel in Amman – had been kept secret and was only confirmed by Jordanian state media a few hours before the start of the palace ceremony.

Fans have taken to Twitter in an attempt to identify the group of people.

One user wrote, “Definitely Pippa and her husband James next to the woman in blue.

Woman looks like Carole Middleton, but Pippa is not much shorter than her mother. They are the same height. Clearer picture needed.’

Fans took to Twitter – via the Royal News Network post – to discuss whether the group of people at the wedding could be the Middletons

Another wrote, “It’s very much like Carole Middleton to me, and isn’t Catherine’s sister Pippa and her husband.”

A third said: ‘Omg good catch!! That lady does look like Carole and the two people next to her look like Pippa and her husband James.’

A fourth commented, “If she is, and it looks like it, then great!” Considering their family connection with Jordan!!’
