Fans are all saying the same thing after Odell Beckham Jr’s split from the Dolphins

Football fans are on the same page after Odell Beckham Jr. said goodbye to the Miami Dolphins on Friday morning.

After signing an incentivized one-year contract with the Dolphins last summer, Beckham has struggled in Miami. In nine games, he has recorded nine receptions for 55 yards and has not scored a touchdown.

Beckham did not appear in practice on Thursday due to the Dolphins’ injury report, which cited personal reasons for his absence.

However, after his release was made public, fans came to the same conclusion that the glory days of the highlight machine were behind him.

“He and Aaron [Rodgers] should start their own team, the has beens, one user wrote.

“And just like that, Odell is officially washed,” a second added.

“It’s time to hang it up OBJ,” a third advised the wide receiver.

“It’s over OBJ,” a fourth commented. ‘It’s time to become a TV analyst. I hope he has saved and invested his money from football.”

“The NFL and OBJ agreed to part ways for good,” a fifth chimed in. “Dude is further past his prime than Biden.”

Others suggested Beckham is “overrated” and didn’t capitalize on the viral popularity he gained from his one-handed catch with the New York Giants in 2014.

Before landing in Miami, Beckham played three years with the Browns, won a title with the Rams in 2021 and joined the Ravens in 2023.

Now that he’s back on the market, Tom Pelissero hinted that two of his former teams may be in the process of reacquiring his services.

‘The release of Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to be official today,” Pelissero said.

“If he clears waivers, he is free to sign with any team. Two teams he has played with before, the Rams and Ravens, are currently in playoff contention….”

After missing practice, Beckham posted to Instagram on Thursday evening: ‘One thing about me, no matter what… I always land on my feet. God got me.”

His departure comes as the Dolphins are 6-7 and second in the AFC East with four games remaining this season.
