Football fans were left with their jaws on the floor after seeing a stunning England Under 15 team overview from 2017.
The squad for England’s 4-3 defeat by Belgium at St George’s Park on a winter’s day was bursting at the seams with new talent.
You could indeed build a reasonable midfield for the men’s team with the names that were on the field and on the bench that day.
The main name is Jude Bellingham, but he had to settle for a spot on the sidelines and his shirt number was 25.
In fairness to Bellingham, he was only 13 at the time and competing for minutes alongside youngsters a few years older than him.

Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke – who argued about taking a penalty on Monday evening – were together in midfield against Belgium in 2017
Cole Palmer lined up in attacking midfield, while Noni Madueke moved into midfield.
Little did Palmer know that seven years later he would score four goals for Chelsea in a 6–0 defeat to Everton – or fight with Madueke for a penalty in the match.
There was also a certain Jamal Musiala, who now plays for Bayern Munich and Germany, on the bench.
Although he represented England up to U21 level, he was born in Germany and opted to play for them at senior level, which was a huge blow for the Three Lions.
The captain in the engine room that day was Yunus Musah, who will be less known to fans in England. He left Arsenal’s youth team for Valencia in 2019 and is now a regular part of the AC Milan squad. He now plays for the United States at international level.
Morgan Rogers joined Aston Villa from Middlesbrough in January for £15 million and has made a good start.
Lower down the football pyramid, Karamoko Dembele plays for Blackpool, Lewis Fiorini for Charlton, and there are several players in League Two and non-league.

Others have gone on to play in Scotland and Switzerland.
For Belgium, a certain Jeremy Doku caused chaos from the number 10 position that day, but his teammates have not built the same reputation as England’s.
