The lead actor’s physical appearance in the upcoming reboot of The Crow is not going down well with fans of the original 1994 film.
One of three film photos released Wednesday by Vanity Fair shows the film’s star, Bill Skarsgård, covered in black makeup and tattoos.

The 2024 film will be the first film in The Crow franchise to be rebooted, and Skarsgård’s Joker-esque appearance won’t be the only thing that sets the remake apart from the original.

Despite X-users showing their hatred towards Skarsgård’s Joker look, a few commenters on Instagram are still excited to see the film and have praised the actor’s character design.

Some Instagram users who commented on the movie photos wrote how excited they were to see the movie.
“IDC WHAT EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE THIS,” one Instagram user wrote.
Others have continued to compare his appearance to Jared Leto’s The Joke, but have also compared his appearance to Machine Gun Kelly.
