Fani Willis takes the STAND in hearing that could disqualify her from Trump case: Furious DA tears into attorney for ‘offensive’ suggestion she ‘slept’ with prosecutor Nathan Wade the first time she met him

  • Willis ripped off lawyers for spreading ‘lies’ about her relationship with Wade
  • She was questioned about intimate details about their affair and their foreign travels

An angry Fani Willis hit back at “extremely offensive” allegations that she slept with her ex-prosecutor boyfriend Nathan Wade when they first met as she stood up and fought for her survival in Donald Trump’s election fraud case.

In her shocking testimony, she said the salacious claims against her were “disingenuous” and insisted she was no longer friends with a witness who claimed her relationship with Wade began three years earlier than they claimed.

She also hit out at the media for “printing lies for the world to see” and the lawyers for suggesting they had not verified any information about their lavish work trips and their “good” sex lives.

Willis defended paying Wade in cash for their vacations together, saying she had piles of cash at home because her father told her to keep six months’ worth of savings available at all times.

In another extraordinary moment, she told attorney Ashleigh Merchant, who represents Trump co-defendant Michael Roman, that she was “not a hostile witness” and that she “wanted” to testify.

Willis is facing calls to be disqualified from the Trump case over her affair with Wade and whether they were in a relationship when she hired him to help prosecute the ex-president.

She took the stand after Wade was also questioned about their sex life, asking for intimate details about their relationship and told to explain the lavish trips they took together to exotic destinations such as Belize and Aruba.

It was a notable moment in Trump’s mountain of legal battles and threatens to upend the election interference case in Georgia.

Earlier in the hearing, Willis’ college friend Robin Yeartie interrupted the story about her affair with Wade.

Yeartie claimed they started dating in 2019, three years before they stated this in the lawsuits.

Yeartie told the court there was “no doubt” that Willis and Wade were in a romantic relationship before he was hired to prosecute Trump, confirming she was “certain” of it.

Wade said in his own blockbuster testimony that the relationship began in 2022 and he was forced to answer a series of questions about statements made in his divorce filing and about his travels with Willis.

Yeartie testified that the prosecutor leading Trump’s prosecution personally informed her of her romantic relationship with Wade.

The two had been friends since college in the 1990s — though their bond was severed and Yeartie is now testifying on behalf of an alleged Trump accomplice who wants to disqualify Willis and Wade from the case.

The relationship itself is something Wade has already acknowledged and Willis has filed a lawsuit, which came after attorney Ashleigh Merchant first made allegations about it in a bombshell filing aimed at disqualifying Willis and Wade from the case.

But the timing could be problematic for Willis because it speaks to a relationship that Yeartie says existed before Wade joined Willis on her staff.
