FanDuel is hit with a massive $20MILLION loss on a homemade parlay… after gamblers take advantage of a crazy NFL bet

It was a good week for some NFL bettors and a terrible Sunday for FanDuel Sportsbook, with the company paying out $20 million to its customers.

According to the New York Postsome sharp football fans took part in a juicy Week 2 parlay.

To win, each NFL team playing in the (all ET) 1:00, 4:05 and 4:25 p.m. had to kick a field goal.

This was priced at 200/1 on FanDuel, while DraftKings also had the special, but at a slimmer 30/1.

Once bettors jumped on the FanDuel offer, it dropped slightly, dropping to 130/1 before kick-off Sunday at 1 p.m.

Jets kicker Austin Seibert hit through the final FG needed for a reported $20 million loss to FD

One X user placed two and took home just $318,384 from two separate bets totaling $1,584.

With two games on the Monday Night Football schedule, there were twelve games prior to the Dolphins vs. primetime game. Patriots on Sunday night.

As you might have guessed, field goals were scored in all twelve, although fans had to wait until around 6:00 PM ET for confirmation of the success.

The 4:25 PM kickoff between Dallas and New York needed a Jets field goal to force a tough FanDuel payout.

Just before halftime, Zach Wilson led Gang Green into the red zone, but he couldn’t find a wide-open Garrett Wilson for six, and so Robert Saleh and Co. had to go. settle for three.

Austin Seibert, who had only signed with the team on Saturday due to Greg Zurlein’s injury, stepped up to put the field goal through – and in turn, a hole in the FanDuel pot.
