A woman fell from one of the bleachers on the 16th hole during Friday’s second round of the 2024 WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.
Tournament organizers did not say where the incident took place, nor did they reveal how far the fall was or where the woman landed.
“Today at the WM Phoenix Open, a fan suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a fall on the 16th hole,” said a statement from the PGA Tour.
“Scottsdale Fire and Cycling Team paramedics quickly responded to the scene to provide immediate medical attention to the injured fan and then provided safe transport to a local medical center for further evaluation.
“The WM Phoenix Open works closely with law enforcement, fire and medical organizations and the PGA Tour to strategically place emergency response units throughout the tournament grounds to quickly address health and safety situations.

It is not known what was injured in the fall, nor is it known what condition the woman was in at the time of the accident.
The Phoenix Open has developed a reputation for being one of the PGA Tour’s more rowdy, fan-oriented and boozy events – with the 16th hole at its center.
This included a fan being carried out of the tournament gate over the shoulders of another man.
Elsewhere on the ground, fans were seen sliding down a mud-covered hill after stormy weather this week.
The police eventually came by and closed the slide down, causing the customers to chase the officers.
