Fan artists are putting some of their favorite characters into Hades 2, and they’re a great fit

Melinoë is just beginning her journey inward Hades 2the sequel to Supergiant Games’ brilliant roguelike based on Greek mythology. Hades 2 recently entered early access, and while there is a ton of content to discover, there are still placeholders and obstacles blocking the player’s progress past a certain point. Still, fans enjoy diving into what’s on offer and are inspired by the beautiful art style and new knowledge. But what if on your journey to Olympus you could encounter even more new and exciting myths and legends, including those from other games?

Jen Zee, the artist behind Hades‘ iconic art style has inspired many artists to try to imitate some of those bold stylistic decisions. Once you’ve drawn a character in that style, it’s easy enough to place them on top of one Hades 2 screenshot with some edited text.

Would Ghost out Duty be a particularly helpful companion? On the one hand, he is a step back from all the myths and figures that currently populate it Hades 2. On the other hand, he does have the power of a weapon, and I can see that being useful.

Or what if we went with a darker presence? Carmina Mora, also known as The Artist in Dead by daylight, is a tortured figure who has been humiliated by corruption and drawn into an extraplanar realm ruled by the Entity. Seeing her appear on her way to the underworld isn’t all that surprising, though she doesn’t have much to say.

If you prefer a more traditional deity – albeit one outside the Greek pantheon – what about Jesus Christ?

Personally, I was impressed by Dryya, an artist on Hades 2 and the cast of Wonderful in the dungeonincluding meetings with Sensi, Chilchuk, And Laios. I’m a fan of this art of Marcille, which depicts her as pale and more anxious than her typical depiction in the anime – which is fitting, considering she’s wandered off to another property entirely.

Finally, I’m also a big fan of this Dark Souls crossover, which adds everyone’s favorite sun-loving knight Solaire to the mix. Mustakro also has one Siegmeyer fan art and a crossing of Elden Ring.

Hades 2 still needs to be put in the oven; the early access title is still being tested and built upon. But it’s cool to see how the art style is already inspiring fans’ creativity. I remember seeing similar fan art for the first time Hades, and the enthusiasm seems to have only grown with the sequel. We may never see Ghost of Solaire meet any of them Hades cast – unless there is one Fortnite event – but it’s fun to imagine these interactions.
