‘It was a pleasure working with ITV and we’re thrilled to do it again, this time with celebrities and on ITV1.’
Last month it was rumored that bosses had apparently already put together a wish list of famous housemates, with Phillip Schofield, 61, currently at the top.
The show reportedly has a budget of £2 million to bring in cast members, with Boris Johnson’s ‘mistress’ Jennifer Arcuri also a target to appear.
A source said: ‘Celebrity Big Brother is coming back and ITV wants big names to kick off. CBB is the perfect place for stars riding the wave of a scandal or when something big happens in their lives.
‘Phillip Schofield is someone they will approach, but also people like Jennifer Arcuri, who had an alleged affair with Boris.’
