a A concerned family has offered a reward for finding and ‘immediate detention’ of a British teenager who went missing this weekend in Thailand’s ‘Sin City’ Pattaya.

Ryan White, 17, from Gateshead, arrived in the capital Bangkok on May 12, but has since lost contact with family members.

His family believes he is now staying in the notorious party town of Pattaya, some 90 miles away. The city has been dubbed the “sex capital” of the world and a modern day Sodom and Gomorrah thanks to its 24-hour sex industry.

Fearing for the teen’s safety, his family has taken to social media to ask friends to help find him – offering 10,000 THB (about £234) as a reward.

They also begged the 17-year-old runaway to come home, telling him, “Nothing you could do or say could ever change how loved you are.”

Ryan White’s family believes he resides in the notorious party town of Pattaya, about 90 miles from Bangkok.

In a Facebook post yesterday, his aunt, Kimberley Christoforato, said: ‘Reward of THB 10,000 (GBP 234) for detaining Ryan at the scene and calling the police.

‘Unfortunately I had to return home to the UK because of an 18 month old child. However, we will have family returning as soon as possible and this post will be updated as and when.

“This is my cousin, Ryan White. He is from Gateshead, UK. He has been missing since Friday, May 12, 2023. He is 17 years old, so still a minor.

“He took a flight to Bangkok and we currently know he is staying somewhere in the Pattaya community. His whereabouts were known until the evening of Sunday the 14th, but no one has seen or heard from him since.

“If anyone has any information, or knows anyone who is on holiday or lives in Pattaya and may have information, please contact us.

“And Ryan, if you’re reading this, please come home. Nothing you could do or say could ever change how loved you are, nor how concerned we are for your safety and well-being.”

She said the family has sought the help of the British and Thai embassies and local police to find the runaway.

The Facebook post has since been shared nearly 900 times as people showed their support for the distraught family.
