Family Feud fans left in shock after host Steve Harvey fails to recognize major Marvel celebrity

Steve Harvey surprised fans during a recent episode of Celebrity Family Feud when he seemed completely unaware of one of the world’s biggest movie stars.

The hilarious incident occurred after the 67-year-old comedian, who was recently accused of cheating on the game show, asked contestant Clay Aiken to “name a famous ‘Tom’ that a girl would like to go to prom with.”

“We’re going with Tom Holland,” Clay replied, referring to the Marvel superstar.

The comedian looked confused as he leaned over to the American Idol icon and asked, “Who is Tom Holland?”

“Tom Holland, that’s Spider-Man,” Clay explained, as Steve looked at him with a surprised look.

Clay then comforted Steve by saying, “Listen, it was the 15-year-old who came up with it! Don’t feel bad, Steve.”

The reaction on TikTok came quickly, with one person posting the following comment: ‘How does Steve not know him?’ Another posted: ‘Not Steve saying “Who is Tom Holland?”‘

Another follower commented: ‘Didn’t he know Tom Holland is Spider-Man???’

Holland, a 28-year-old British heartthrob, has played the Marvel superhero in three films: 2017’s Homecoming, 2019’s Far From Home and 2021’s No Way Home. He is also in a relationship with Zendaya.

The blunder came after Steve repeated a spicy answer from a contestant that he had never given on TV before.

Steve had the crowd laughing after he shouted the NSFW phrase during a confrontation between rocker Chris Daughtry and the band Papa Roach.

The hilarious incident occurred after Harvey asked the following survey question:Name something Mrs. Peanut would do to Mr. Peanut if she got angry.

Among the typical answers such as “Chop Mr. Peanut up, eat him or make butter out of him,” Tony Palermo, the drummer of Papa Roach, stood out with his unique answer: “Break his nuts.”

Harvey gave Palermo a fist bump and added: “That’s what I love about the band, they have such a good sense of humor.”

He continued: “I’ve never been able to say this on TV before, until now…” before shouting in a high-pitched scream: “Break his balls!”

The answer didn’t appear on the board, to which Harvey replied, “I don’t know how that’s not there, that’s such a well thought out answer.”

The hilarious episode comes almost a week after Harvey was left in disbelief after a player named him as a TV presenter that women fantasized about, prompting amused viewers to say he looked like he was having a heart attack.

He bent double to match contestant Ava’s confident stance, before begging for his name not to appear on the board.

It all started when Steve asked, “Which TV presenter, past or present, have you had romantic fantasies about?”

Without hesitation, Ava shouted, “Steve Harvey,” before clapping her hand over her mouth and gasping for breath.

“Take care of yourself, girl, take care of yourself,” Steve replied, before asking her age.

“I’m 24,” Ava said, causing Steve to double over in shock. “Oh God, no.”

He grimaced and expressed his concern as he prepared for the school board to announce whether Ava’s answer was correct.

“Please don’t stand there,” he said, but seconds later it was revealed that “Steve Harvey” was the best answer with a total of 17 points.

The studio audience burst out laughing and Steve immediately bent over laughing.

Even the viewers at home couldn’t suppress their laughter.

On Instagram, someone wrote: ‘He had a heart attack.’

Another said the same thing: ‘He just died twice.’

A third wrote: ‘It looked like he could collapse at any moment and have to be carried away.’

“He didn’t expect it,” a fourth responded with crying, laughing emojis.

A fifth said: ‘Steve Harvey feared for his life.’

At the end of the round it became clear that Steve was closely followed by Jimmy Fallon, the TV presenters that women fantasize about.

Bob Barker, Alex Trebek, Regis Philbin, Conan O’Brien, Donny Osmond and Jeff Probst were also on the list.

Family Feud is no stranger to X-rated answers these days.

In June, a clip surfaced showing Steve high-fiving a contestant’s husband after his wife gave him a racy response.

In the scene, the gameplay briefly derails when Steve asks both families to “name a place where you’re at and where you hold on.”

After her family members guessed it was a roller coaster, a speedboat and an airplane, contestant Jeni couldn’t resist taking a bold guess and answered, “the bedroom.”

The studio erupted in applause after her racy comment, as her loved ones cheered her on, with her husband Lance immediately giving her a double high-five.
