Family and friends praying for the recovery of makeup artist ‘stabbed’ by her How I Met Your Mother actor ex
Friends and family are praying for the recovery of a make-up artist allegedly stabbed by actor Nick Pasqual, who was arrested yesterday for trying to flee to Mexico.
Friends of Allie Shehorn, 35, have taken to social media to express their support for the 35-year-old, who is currently in hospital fighting for her life.
“Prayers for a speedy recovery,” one Facebook user wrote on her page. “Sending all the love and blessings as you make your full recovery,” another commented on Instagra.
The ill-wishes come after the make-up artist was reportedly stabbed more than 20 times by her boyfriend Pasqual and left for dead.
A GoFundMe set up for Shehorn’s mounting medical bills has raised $93,000 of its $100,000 goal.

An update was posted yesterday stating, “Allie Shehorn is taking positive steps toward her recovery. It is still a very long road, but she faces it with courage and determination. Love, Jed.” Jed is a fellow makeup artist and friend of Shehorn.
Organizers initially wrote: “I come to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for help for someone very dear to me, my friend Allie.
‘She was recently confronted with a horrific and senseless act of violence: she was stabbed multiple times by her ex-boyfriend. As a result, Allie is now in critical condition in hospital fighting for her life.”
DailyMail.com exclusively revealed on May 29 that Shehorn had been granted a restraining order from Pasqual after claiming she had suffered a shocking catalog of abuse, including rape, strangulation and being beaten with a belt.
Days later, on May 23, Shehorn was violently attacked in her own home by actor Nick Pasqual, 34, who was arrested this week in Sierra Blanca, Texas, while trying to flee across the border into Mexico.
Pasqual was charged Wednesday afternoon with attempted murder, first-degree home invasion and battery by domestic violence, and will be extradited to LA. If convicted, he faces life in prison.

The LA makeup artist received a temporary restraining order from her ex-boyfriend three days before the attack
The friend, who last appeared as a minor character named Thresher in the 2023 film Rebel Moon, previously attacked Shehorn at least four times.
This was according to the makeup artist’s application for a domestic violence restraining order, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com.
According to the papers, which were filed on May 18, Pasqual beat her with a belt on January 29, broke several doors in their Sunland, California, home on March 6, and raped and strangled her on April 14.
The escalating abuse, which peaked with the horrific stabbing on May 23, also included a violent incident on May 18, prompting Shehorn to apply for a restraining order.
DailyMail.com can also reveal that Pasqual – pictured in a 2011 episode of How I Met Your Mother – has previous convictions, including a drink-driving charge in July 2013 and another the following February.
According to the makeup artist, around 3 a.m., Pasqual became angry “and started yelling and screaming at me, which happens when he’s under the influence.”
She continued: ‘He punched me in the face and as I was trying to get away down the corridor he grabbed my hair and pulled me back and I hit the ground and hit the back of my head on the floor.’
Shehorn says she tried to hide in the bedroom of a friend named Christine White, 62, who shares the former couple’s home.
Pasqual then tried to forcefully smash the door and when she opened it, he pushed it into her, causing her to fall to the floor and hit her head again.
According to Shehorn, the incident left her with a concussion, while Pasqual threatened White as she called 911.
LAPD booking records show that Pasqual was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor at 10 a.m. the same day, but was released from jail that afternoon at 3:23 p.m.
The restraining order also includes a disturbing account of the alleged rape Pasqual committed at an Airbnb on April 14.
Shehorn had complained to police that he had suffered a string of abuse at the hands of Pasqual, including rape, strangulation and being beaten with a belt
In her application for a restraining order, obtained by DailyMail.com, Shehorn alleged that Pasqual had assaulted her at least four times before
On that occasion, Shehorn said the couple had been drinking the previous day and started having sex early that morning.
She said Pasqual started hurting her so she asked him to stop, at which point the 34-year-old continued, holding her by both wrists as she struggled to escape.
When she was finally able to get up, Pasqual unleashed an angry tirade, telling her she didn’t love him if she didn’t allow him to have an orgasm.
When she then tried to leave the room, Pasqual reportedly grabbed her by the throat and squeezed, only letting her go when she threatened to scream and alert the other people staying in the property.
Shehorn added: “He has been violent in the past but never physically with me apart from two nights where he ripped clothes off me [sic].’
In the filing, the special effects makeup artist also asked for protection for White and for the couple’s white husky mix dog Riley.
A hearing on whether the temporary restraining order should be made permanent was scheduled for June 11 in Pasadena, while Pasqual was scheduled to appear in court on June 12 on a misdemeanor charge in San Fernando.
DailyMail.com can also reveal that Pasqual has previous convictions, including a DUI in July 2013 and another the following February.

Pasqual will appear in court at a date yet to be determined once he returns to LA and will be held on a $1.075 million bond.
“My thoughts and sincere condolences go out to the victim of this horrific incident,” Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón said.
“Our office, including our Bureau of Victim Services, offers her our support and resources as she begins the long and difficult journey of healing from both the physical and emotional trauma inflicted on her.
“This horrific incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the person responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
Shehorn is recovering from the stabbing in hospital, with White telling local news station KTLA that she is in “good spirits.”
White said she returned home to find Shehorn surrounded by blood in her bedroom, which she said was “not a pretty sight.”
“This is not something that should happen to anyone,” she continued. “You don’t think this will ever happen to you.”
The GoFundMe added in an update Monday that White “acted quickly when she found Allie bleeding to death,” a move that “saved her life.”
