False heiress Anna Delvey is being sued by her former attorney for $152,000 in unpaid fees

False heiress Anna ‘Delvey’ Sorokin has introduced a striking new look in promotional photos for her podcast – shot under house arrest in her apartment.

The 32-year-old con artist looks unrecognizable compared to her previous forays into Manhattan’s courtrooms, sporting fuller lips, tighter brows and blonde highlights.

It comes as Delvey, a working-class Russian who swindled hotels, high society friends and banks out of more than $200,000 by posing as a German heiress, is being sued by her former attorney for more than $152,000 in unpaid fees.

Audrey A. Thomas was hired in 2020 to represent Delvey in an immigration case and to appeal her conviction for defrauding banks and corporations of $200,000.

The relationship soured and Delvey dropped Thomas last April, saying she had withheld information on her case.

The lawyer, who has since been disbarred, brushed off the claims, telling DailyMail.com: “[Delvey] can kiss my a**.”

While Delvey is suing her former attorney for the court records, Thomas will now fight back, according to a petition from the Manhattan Supreme Court alleging that Delvey lied to avoid paying “astronomical legal fees.”

Delvey’s lavish lifestyle as a con artist was captured in the 2022 miniseries ‘Inventing Anna’.

The show tells the story of a woman who tricks New York’s elite into believing she is an heiress to a large fortune in order to secure a personal treasure trove of money and goods while searching for an art-themed club.

The ‘Soho Grifter’ posed as a German heiress with a fortune of 60 million euros before she was discovered and arrested.

Despite being sentenced to four years in prison in April 2019, Delvey was released on good behavior until she was arrested again for overstaying her visa.

She has since been grounded in her East Village apartment in Manhattan and recently announced the launch of a podcast, recorded under house arrest.

Guests would include Emily Ratajkowski, Julia Fox and Whitney Cummings as she discusses “what it means to be a rule breaker.”

Delvey has continued to clash with her former attorney, who she says has failed to hand over the documents she needs to challenge an eviction notice and appeal her conviction.

In March of this year, Thomas collapsed in court when she faced Delvey in Manhattan civil court.

She said, ‘My heart hurts me! I need an ambulance!’

After a brief delay as the former attorney was wheeled out of the courtroom on a stretcher, Delvey emerged victorious as the judge ordered Thomas to hand over the documents.

Thomas was disbarred in November after allegedly stealing money from an elderly client.

In the new court papers seen by the New York Postshe referred to this, saying that her suspension “does not wipe out the balance owed by the defendant.”

Thomas was detained for contempt of court and fined $1,000 a day “until she either returns the materials or gives an explanation” of their whereabouts.

After being dropped by Delvey, Thomas sent two batches of the deportation documents to Delvey’s new legal team earlier in August.

However, according to the lawsuit against her, she “did not hand over any of the digital audio recordings of (Delvey’s) immigration court hearings.”

The convicted fraudster also alleged that Thomas withheld her personal belongings, claiming she hides the items because she has a “vendetta” against her.
