The official teaser trailer for Amazon's TV adaptation of Fallout has finally emerged from the vault – and in true dystopian fashion, it looks devastatingly fantastic.
Just days after the Fallout The first footage from the TV show has been released online, giving us our first visual-based look at Prime Video's beautifully realized take on Bethesda's iconic post-apocalyptic RPG series. And we don't know about you, but we're getting really good vibes from the two-minute teaser.
The Fallout The TV show's official teaser debuted online alongside the big reveal at CCXP Brazil 2023. Non-CCXP attendees were indeed glued to a YouTube livestream, complete with a countdown clock from Vault 33 – the underground bunker in which the Prime Video series is initially set – since it began earlier today (December 2). It's clear that Amazon was preparing to unveil something special and it just happened to be a good trailer for it Fallout live action show.
Like the images revealed on Tuesday (November 28) – read these seven things Fallout's first images don't tell you while you're here – the teaser is packed with nods and references to the wider Fallout universe. That really shouldn't be a surprise, considering the shows are set in the same realm as their video game counterparts. Still, it's incredibly pleasing to see how Amazon Studios and Kilter Films have authentically recaptured every detail of Bethesda's beloved gaming franchise, with the show's tonality, visuals, and production design all in keeping with the world built by Bethesda and other game developers in the 1990s. franchise's 10-member gaming lineup.

For those who missed it earlier this week, here's the story summary for Amazon's adaptation of it Fallout: “Based on one of the best video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of the haves and the have-nots in a world where there is almost nothing left to have.
“200 years after the apocalypse, the friendly residents of luxury bomb shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind – and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, cheerfully strange and deeply violent universe awaits them.”
Ella Purnell (Arcane, Yellow jackets) plays Lucy, the show's main character. She is joined by Walton Goggins (Invincible, Ant Man 2) as The Ghoul, a mysterious and morally complex marksman, and Aaron Moten (Emancipation) as Maximus, member of the iconic Fallout group The Brotherhood of Steel, as the other main protagonists of the series. Kyle McLachlan (Twin Peaks), who plays Lucy's father Hank, the overseer of Vault 33, is among the show's supporting cast members.
Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (Westworld, Reminiscence) developed and wrote the live-action series for Prime Video, one of the world's top streaming services. Nolan also has directing duties on three of the Fallout episodes of the series, as well as serving as executive producer alongside Joy, Todd Howard of Bethesda Game Studios, Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner. This last duo is also installed as Fallout's showrunners too.
Shall Fallout catch in our best Prime Video shows when it arrives on April 12, 2024? We'll have to wait and see, but one thing is certain: Prime Video has missed an apocalyptic trick Fallout TV show release date will be revealed at the end of October. Just say it.
