Justin was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on June 18 when a Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer stopped him in the village in New York’s Hamptons. He allegedly ignored a stop sign and veered out of his lane while driving a 2025 BMW X7, according to a court document.
“His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, there was a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, he was unable to pay attention, his speech was slower, he walked unsteadily, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,” the spokesman said, according to court papers.
“This is going to ruin the tour,” the star reportedly muttered.
The New York officer – who was too young to recognize Timberlake – asked, “What tour?” only to hear: ‘The world tour.’
The so-called “Prince of Pop” told the officer he had one martini and was following some friends home, the documents say. After he was arrested and taken to a police station in nearby East Hampton, he refused a breath test, according to the court documents, which listed his occupation as “professional” and noted he is “self-employed.”
The 10-time Grammy winner was released without bail later in the morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, and his next court appearance was scheduled for July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.
A bartender at the hotel confirmed this People that the singer had only one drink before the arrest.
