An urgent search has been launched for a teenage girl who went missing near a train station in Sydney’s west.
Christina Avakian, 15, was last seen at Fairfield train station, 30km west of Sydney’s CBD, around 4.30pm on Sunday.
CCTV footage shows the teenager walking across the train station platform, dressed in a black T-shirt and black shorts.
She was reported missing after her family was unable to locate or reach her when she failed to return home.
“Police and her family have concerns for her welfare due to her age,” a New South Wales Police spokesperson said.
Christina is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build and long brown hair.
According to police, the 15-year-old frequents the Fairfield, Macquarie Fields and Campbelltown areas.
Anyone with information on Christina’s whereabouts is urged to contact Fairfield City Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
