Failed star Terry Dubrow, 64, reveals he suffered a minor stroke through a hole in his heart – and his wife Heather saved his life by urging him to seek medical attention

Failed star Terry Dubrow has revealed he suffered a minor stroke and his wife Heather saved his life by urging him to seek medical care.

The plastic surgeon, 64, was having dinner with Heather, 54, and their son at The Ivy in LA last Thursday when he began to muddle through his speech, and although the incident lasted “less than a minute,” Heather told their son that he should call 911.

The doctor told TMZ this annoyed him because he felt “fine.” He was later seen by paramedics who checked his vitals and gave him an “all clear” status.

Real Housewives star Heather insisted that the paramedics take Terry to hospital, where he refused and later “jumped” out of the ambulance before the “embarrassed” star called an Uber to take him home.

He said Heather called his doctor friends to tell them what happened — which led to his friends calling him on his Uber ride and eventually convincing him to pull over at the hospital.

Doctors ran tests and found that Terry had suffered a TIA, or transient ischemic attack. In TIA, there is a temporary lack of blood flow to the brain, causing momentary dizziness, confusion, tingling, and numbness in the arms.

Terry also had a patent foramen ovale (PFO), a hole in the heart that didn’t close properly after birth.

The hole is a small flap-like opening between the upper heart chambers. The upper chambers of the heart are called the atria.

A blood clot passed through Terry’s PFO, traveled to his brain and caused the TIA.

The PFO was repaired and Terry made a full recovery, but had it not been treated he could have had a full stroke.

The couple tied the knot in 1999 and have four children together. The two are known for both starring in reality TV, with Heather working on The Real Housewives Of Orange County and her husband on Botched.

Back in October, Heather denounced rumors that Terry had cheated on her.

The reality star responded to an Instagram post earlier Thursday claiming the plastic surgeon was having an affair, writing that the rumors were, “This is not true on any level.”

The celebrity gossip Instagram account called DeuxMoi shared an unofficial rumor on its page that Heather’s husband had cheated on her.

The anonymous report did not drop any names, but claimed: ‘This housewife has not been seen filming with her colleagues in weeks’ due to ‘cases of the husband surfaced…’

Later, a Real Housewives fan account claimed that the rumors revolved around Heather and husband Terry.

The reality star wasted no time immediately condemning the allegations in a comment, writing, “This is not true on any level.”
