Fabio Carvalho has revealed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gave him no advice ahead of his move to RB Leipzig.

Carvalho is eager to impress during his spell at the German club and says he’d better figure it out on his own.

As reported by The athleticsaid Carvalho, “I don’t really talk to him, so he hasn’t given me any advice.

“I just have to learn as I go and I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I feel that’s better anyway, to mature as a person and as a player.’

Carvalho left for RB Leipzig at the end of June and Dominik Szoboszlai joined Liverpool soon after.

Carvalho stated that he rarely speaks to Klopp and will have to learn along the way

After signing for Fulham last year, Carvalho made 21 appearances in his first season with Liverpool, scoring three goals.

Notably, Carvalho scored a dramatic late winner against Newcastle at Anfield.

The Portugal Under-21 international is a versatile player who can operate in midfield as well as wide and his versatility could prove useful for Leipzig this season.

In addition to Carvalho, there have been plenty of new arrivals at Leipzig this summer, including Lois Openda, Benjamin Sesko, Christoph Baumgartner, Nicolas Seiwald and El Chadille Bitshiabu, while Xavi Simons has joined Paris Saint-Germain on loan.

Carvalho played four times in the Champions League last season and the 20-year-old will have another chance to play in the league with Leipzig this season.
