The pair defeated Tony Finau and Pierre Gasly in a close-to-the-pin match on the final hole to triumph, leading to jubilant scenes as they lifted the Netflix Cup.

However, while it was his turn to show off the trophy, Sainz was left red-faced as he let it slip from his grasp and fall to the ground.
