Formula 1 gave fans an insight into what’s in store for them in Las Vegas with a trackside preview via EA Sports’ F1 23 video game.

Full gameplay was released on the F1’s YouTube channel, showing off the developers’ work as they went through the track.

Over a three lap race, the development car – which started on P22 – finished on P11 and running times in the 1:38 range.

The fastest time of the simulation was set by Mercedes’ George Russell with a 1:36.862 around the 17 corners, 6.12 km circuit.

If the course of the game is to be believed, serious problems could arise in the short run-up to Turn 1 and in Turns 5 and 7.

Fan reactions were mixed, with some praising the game’s background and visuals and therefore what to expect on race day. Others denounced the song for being “terrible.”

“Whether the track is suitable for racing or not, it will look fantastic” wrote a user.

Another praised the developers for their recreation, adding, “Poor layout by F1. It will be another cringe-inducing and excruciating US GP.”

A third user predicted how the race would go by saying, “Look at that straight line, now add the [Red Bull’s] DRS’.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the penultimate race on the F1 calendar and will take place on November 19. F1 23 launches on June 16 for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC.
