A construction worker has tragically died while helping to set up this year’s first Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas.
According to a local CBS affiliatePolice were called to the Bellagio Fountains on the Las Vegas strip around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Footage from the scene shows a number of officers arriving at the Bellagio after reports of serious injuries.
A worker setting up structures for the upcoming F1 event is said to have suffered a ‘large laceration to the neck’ before being rushed to a local hospital.
It was there where the man in question was later pronounced dead from the laceration to his neck.

Further details about the incident have not been made public at this time.
In a video shared on TikTok, one user claimed the tragic accident happened because F1 workers were ‘pushing the structure too fast’.
Dailymail.com has contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for more information.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration will reportedly lead a follow-up investigation.
During the Grand Prix of Las Vegas, which will take place on November 19, the drivers will pass all the main sights, including the Bellagio.
Caesars Palace, the Venetian and The Sphere are also passed during the race.
Nevada has not hosted a Grand Prix since 1982, with race organizers reportedly spending $560 million in construction costs to bring the Grand Prix back this year.
