F Murray Abraham, 83, axed from Mythic Quest after complaints of sexual misconduct

White Lotus Star V Murray Abraham, 83, Was Suspended From AppleTV+ Show Mythic Quest After At Least Two Complaints Of Sexual Misconduct Against The Oscar Winner

  • Abraham stepped down from the role in April last year, but the reasons for the move were not clear at the time
  • He has been charged with two separate incidents of sexual misconduct, although it is not clear who made the allegations
  • The show’s creator, Rob McElhenney, said at the time that his departure was a “bummer”.

White Lotus star F. Murray Abraham was suspended from an Apple TV+ series last year after two sexual misconduct complaints were filed against him.

The 83-year-old Oscar-winning actor was suddenly announced last April to be leaving Mythic Quest — what Rolling stone confirmed from the complaints.

At least two complaints have been filed against Abraham, the first of which resulted in him being given a warning and told to stay away from some of the shows’ actresses.

A production source told Rolling Stone that after the second incident was brought to the attention of Rob McElhenney – who created the show – the actor was let go.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Lionsgate said: “We take allegations of misconduct seriously and investigate them thoroughly.

“As part of company policy, we do not discuss our personnel actions.”

At the time, Abraham made no comment, with the producing studio simply confirming that he would be leaving the show.

It is unclear who exactly made the allegations against the star that caused him to leave.

McElhenney, Abraham and Apple TV+ did not immediately respond to requests for comment from DailyMail.com.

Abraham joined the comedy series as CW Longbottom and was killed off during the season three premiere, which aired in November.

He drove off a cliff into the Grand Canyon in a Thunderbird after being diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Speaking to Variety when his departure was announced, McElhenney said: “It’s a shame not to have Murray this season.

“But we recognize that CW is a beloved character and obviously a big part of the show.

“So we made sure we have a very fitting tribute to him. We are certainly going big.’

He landed a role in the second season of HBO’s White Lotus and appeared in Netflix’s upcoming anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities.

Abraham played Bert Di Grasso, a clumsy elderly grandfather who travels to Sicily with his son and grandson in the popular HBO series.

On the show, he was constantly berated for making inappropriate comments about women – before shrugging them off and saying he was from an older generation.

This is an evolving story.
