Extraordinary twist in ugly feud between Perth butcher and notorious vegan activist who stormed his store and poured blood over his shopfront

Vegan activist Tash Peterson has vowed to make her own complaint to police after being charged with spilling fake blood on a Perth butcher's shop.

Ms Peterson was filmed shouting at shoppers as she poured the fake blood onto a Perth butcher shop front before a heated scuffle broke out.

The vegan activist was then visited by a police officer on Christmas Day who told her she was being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

In an extraordinary twist, Ms Peterson shared another video on Boxing Day to give an update in which she claimed she would be making her own statement to police.

The vegan activist complained that her video equipment was damaged and she suffered bruises as a result of her stunt.

“It's not okay to do that against non-violent activists who are just trying to end the animal holocaust,” she said.

“We're talking $10,000 worth of camera equipment. Damage has been done there and we will absolutely be making police statements about what has happened so far.”

Ms Peterson said she had bruises on her arms and chest, while her cameraman was seen being grabbed by a man in footage of the protest.

“I still have crazy bruises all around my body, my arms, my chest, all around my left ribcage,” she revealed while wearing a bikini top in a new Instagram post.

“Even when I was tying this top, I could feel the bruises all over here.

'I took a deep breath last night and had severe pain for a moment.

“It was just really fucking.”

Ms Peterson said she is charged with criminal damage and disorderly conduct over the Christmas stunt.

It follows a tense confrontation with police on her doorstep, revealed in an earlier social media video, on Christmas Day.

Ms Peterson was caught in a confrontation with police after they demanded entry to confiscate the T-shirt she wore during the butcher shop stunt.

“We have the power to come in and look for it (the shirt) where a suspect has been arrested,” the officer told Ms. Peterson and an older woman seen in the clip.

“We come in and look for it. I have asked for your permission, but if you do not agree, we will still come and search.

“I'd appreciate it if you come grab it and we'll get out of your way.”

Ms. Peterson eventually handed over the top, which featured a photo of a pig in a slaughterhouse under the slogan “End this Holocaust.”

Ms Peterson was then patted down by a female officer before climbing into the backseat of an unmarked police vehicle.

“The saddest thing about this arrest is that they confiscated my new shirt!” Mrs. Peterson wrote.

'The result of yesterday's protest is one charge of 'criminal damage' (although the fake blood on stage is not permanent and can be easily washed away, they gave me this charge anyway) and one charge of 'disorderly conduct'.

“The court appearance is on January 8.”

Ms Peterson and her supporters were involved in a series of clashes after the fake blood was poured over the glass of the butcher's display cabinet in Perth.

Ms Peterson posted a video of the incident on Christmas Day, with the caption: 'Stop celebrating Christmas with a holocaust'.

Before the protest, Ms. Peterson gave a speech to the camera.

“These are the victims of your Christmas meal, your daily choices end this holocaust and end animal slavery by living vegan,” she said, pointing to the pig on her shirt.

'This is my Christmas message for everyone. If you are not vegan, you are responsible for the greatest holocaust in history: the animal holocaust.”

In June, Ms Peterson was banned from entering venues where alcohol is served for 12 months after becoming involved in an ongoing feud with British celebrity chef John Mountain at his Perth restaurant Fyre.

After she poured the fake blood over the counter, a series of scuffles involving Ms. Peterson occurred in the mall before security intervened.

After becoming annoyed with a customer, Mr. Mountain banned vegans from his restaurant, prompting Ms. Peterson to protest outside his location, where she disturbed guests by playing loud sounds of pigs squealing while shouting about the “animal apocalypse” '.

This led to scuffles between her and her supporters with Mr Mountain, his staff and other members of the general public.

The confrontation became international news when British talk show host Piers Morgan brought Ms. Peterson onto his show for a confrontational interview.

Western Australian Police have been contacted for comment.
