Stunning footage from the Mahakam River in Borneo shows the giant crocodile swimming through the water carrying the youngster on its back.

Baffled fishermen spotted the 10-foot reptile as it swam nearly 700 feet across the bay’s estuary toward a boat.

The boy, known locally as Muhammad Ziyad Wijaya (left), had disappeared two days earlier near the Jawa estuary in East Kalimantan province.

The reptile, normally one of nature’s most ruthless killers, left the boy next to a boat, where two men are seen lifting the body on board.

It meant the family could be reunited with their son.

Local media reported that there were no bite marks on the body.

Members of the East Kalimantan Search and Rescue Agency received information that a crocodile was carrying the child they had been searching for.

Melkanius Kotta, team leader, said: “We believe the crocodile really helped in the search for the victim.”

‘There is nothing missing. Everything is intact.

An unidentified passerby filmed the incredible moment when two men inside the boat took the dead child.

Subsequently, the crocodile disappeared below the surface of the water.

It is now still known what caused Muhammad to drown or if the estuary crocodiles had anything to do with his death.

Initial observations purportedly show that the toddler had accidentally fallen into the river while playing.
