Extent of Tiger Woods’ horror leg injury after life-threatening car crash is revealed as legendary golfer tees off without leg sleeve in rare sighting
- Woods was involved in a serious accident that threatened both his life and his career
- The incident occurred in February 2021, when the American had since returned to golf.
- His injured right leg has now been photographed, with a large scar apparently visible
A photo has surfaced of Tiger Woods without his leg sleeve, following his car accident three years ago.
The legendary golfer suffered a “horrific” crash in Los Angeles in 2021 that left him with a broken right leg and he doubts he will ever be able to play golf again.
Woods was now fit and able to play again, but his right leg was no longer covered. He broke his leg in the fall, making the seriousness of his injury clear.
In a photo shared to Blake Bunders Golf’s Instagram page, captioned, “Big cat roaming the Oakland Hills like he owned the place,” Woods was seen standing on the grass of a golf course.
On his right leg was a large scar that threatened to end his career. This was probably the result of the crash more than three years ago. Woods was wearing shorts instead of long pants or a sleeveless shirt.

The accident happened around 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 23, 2021, as Woods was en route from the five-star Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, where he was staying, to Rolling Hills Country Club, where he was to film for GolfTV.
Woods rented a luxury Genesis GV80 SUV for the 10-mile (16-kilometer) trip, leaving the resort shortly after 7 a.m., according to a crew member from the TV series “Grown-ish,” who filmed at the resort where Woods was staying.
Oliver Konteh, part of the TV crew that filmed Grown-ish, told TMZ that Woods “ran away quickly” and nearly hit another car owned by the “Grown-ish” director as he left the parking lot just after 7 a.m.
A camera near the front door then captured Woods driving at a normal speed on Hawthorne Boulevard around 7:05 a.m., about five miles south of where he would later crash.
At around 7:15 a.m., Woods lost control of his car on a downhill road, hit a traffic sign and rolled his car hundreds of meters over. It was a terrible crash. Police said he was “lucky to survive” and has since recovered.

The 48-year-old recently competed in The Open, but was eliminated during the competition.
The same thing happened earlier this year at the US Open and the PGA Championship, after he finished well behind the lead at The Masters.
He has not won a major in golf since 2019, when he won the Masters title.
