Experts say Travis Kelce’s shove of 65-year-old coach show he is ‘immature’ and ‘impulsive’ – traits that ‘do not bode well’ for his romance with Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce’s aggressive outburst on the sidelines during last night’s Superbowl could indicate he has difficulty ‘solving problems’, is ‘impulsive’ and has anger issues, experts say – in a warning to girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The 34-year-old Kansas City player shoved coach Andy Reid, 65, for taking him out of the match, sparking criticism and concern among Swifties and Taylor’s friends, who said it was a ‘red flag’ was for their relationship.

Now a psychologist has claimed that the aggressive outburst could be a sign of underlying personality traits that “don’t bode well” for his romantic life.

Canadian author and relationship expert Dr James Giles told DailyMail.com: ‘It points to a lack of problem-solving skills in dealing with interpersonal issues.

‘It also really points to low self-esteem. It shows that you feel like you are unable to solve things any other way.

Dr. James Giles, a Canadian author and relationship expert, said Kelce’s outburst on the sidelines could indicate he is having trouble “solving problems”

“It reveals a deep sense of insecurity in the sense that you feel so threatened that you have to overcompensate and react aggressively.”

Dr. Giles added that the scene “points to impulsiveness” in Kelce’s character, which is not always negative but can be unpredictable.

He warned that one of the triggers for impulsive people is jealousy, which can manifest itself in response to teammates or problems in a relationship.

But Dr. Peter Kanaris, a psychologist on Long Island, said aggression is part of being an elite athlete who plays American football but is unlikely to carry over into his private life.

β€œWe’re talking about a world-class athlete in American football,” he said. ‘The sport itself invites and encourages aggression.

β€œ(But) so much of that is situational and not endemic to the player’s personality.”

Meanwhile, body language expert Judi James said Kelce may not be ‘mature enough’ to keep his emotions in check.

β€œIf you look at his facial expressions, his bottom lip is down to chin level,” she said. ‘It seems like such an extreme expression of anger.

‘If you look, his veins are also bulging on his forehead. He looks like someone who has really lost his cool at that moment.

Travis Kelce also had an on-court tantrum in 2017, where he was filmed pushing over a Steelers player shortly after Kelce dropped the ball.

‘What would also be very scary is the proximity of the face. He squatted down to get his face right in the coach’s face and then probably yelled at him, which is horrible.”

She added: β€œThis is not pleasant in any way.

β€œIt’s shocking that he gets away and does that against a 65-year-old man who wears glasses and can’t see or hear him approaching because he’s on the microphone and clearly concentrating on the game.

“He got the guy off balance, and he’s obviously not the strongest guy… he was a vulnerable target for a 6-foot-4 guy like Travis.”

Kelce has a history of losing his temper on the field.

In 2017, he was caught pushing a Pittsburgh Steelers player to the ground after dropping a pass that hit him square in the hands.

In November this year, he was also filmed having a scuffle with other players on the field – and appeared to push and punch one person during a game with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Travis and his coach both tried to gloss over the moment that was broadcast across the country, with his coach, Mr. Reid, saying he was “testing my hip.”

The coach also called him someone who ‘keeps him young’.

Kelce has responded by saying, “I have the best coach this game has ever seen…he’s one of the best men’s leaders I’ve ever seen in my life.”

But the behavior has not gone unnoticed in circles outside the sports world.

Swifties were first in line, labeling the behavior as a “red flag” for Taylor Swift and warning her not to continue the relationship.

And now her friends are also voicing their concerns, telling DailyMail.com exclusively that they “didn’t know he even had a side like that.”
