Expectation vs reality! Vacationers Reveal How Vacation Destinations Didn’t Live Up To Their Dreams
Don’t trust everything you see online when it comes to beautiful vacation spots, as this fleet of TikTokers reveals.
Dozens of clips follow the theme of “expectation versus reality,” showing vacationers images of what they hoped to see when they arrived at their destination compared to the disappointing scene that greeted them.
One of the most surprising contrasts is a clip posted by photographer and writer Emily Byrskiafter her trip to Rainbow Mountain in Peru.
Her expectation, she reveals, was a vibrant peak and blue sky, but instead she was greeted by snow and sleet, saying she “almost died” due to the lack of oxygen at high altitude.
