Emmett was previously forbidden from contacting her unless it was a “brief and peaceful interaction” over a visit to London (pictured in 2013) and Rylee
Ambyr spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about the current arrangement with 52-year-old Emmett.
She revealed: ‘We have different ways of parenting and you go through jumps and troughs. Some months are really good and some months are really, really bad.
“I’ve had a really hard time with co-parenting, but I’m not giving up. I will continue to work on the relationship and do what is best because it is for my children.
“So at the end of the day, my kids will always come first, and with that in mind, co-parenting becomes a lot easier, whether I disagree or agree, or wherever I am at the moment.” for fight. My children always come first.’
When asked about how her relationship is currently with her ex-husband, the actress said it was important to “talk only about the kids” and “hold everyone accountable.”
Ambyr, who appeared in You as Joe’s ex Candace Stone, continued, “It’s hard and sometimes I just explain to my kids that sometimes two houses are better than one, right?
“Those are tough, tough times, and your kids at different stages of separation are going to come asking questions or they’re going to hear things.
“That was the hardest part for me: knowing how to protect my children, but also teaching them how people should treat other people. Teach them that if you just lead with love, kindness, and respect, that’s all we need. That’s all we need in the world. But some people don’t understand that.’

Ambyr and Emmett married in 2009 and were married for eight years, but the fallout from the divorce has proved bitter.
In October 2022, Ambyr first filed a domestic violence restraining order against the film producer in Los Angeles County Superior Court, stating that she had “justifiable fears for (her) safety and well-being.”
Her first application was initially rejected, but she finally got one three days before Christmas.
It ordered Emmett to stay 100 yards away from his ex-wife, according to The Los Angeles Times.
He was also forbidden from contacting her unless it was a “brief and peaceful interaction” over a visit to London and Rylee.
Ambyr claimed in her lawsuit that Emmett was “physically and emotionally abused” while they were married.
She added that when he asked her to sign a post-nuptial financial agreement in 2015, and she refused, he got so upset and put his left hand on her neck, “squeezing with such force that (Ambyr ) had difficulty breathing’.
The star also claimed that in 2016, when he brought up the proposed deal again, Emmett “tried to strangle her again.”
Emmett’s trial attorney, Suann C. MacIsaac, said in another statement, “Mr. Emmett adamantly denies all allegations in Ms Childer’s recent statement.”
Ambyr also spoke to DailyMail.com about her relationship with Emmett’s ex-fiancee Lala Kent after the pair bonded at his daughter Ocean’s second birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this year (pictured)
In the filing, Ambyr also claimed that the FBI had contacted her to ask about Emmett’s “suspected child exploitation and pedophilia activities.”
And last June, the producer of Detective Knight was hit with a host of disturbing allegations, from abusing former assistants to offering roles in exchange for sex.
But Emmett, who has produced films including The Irishman and End of Watch, has himself dismissed the allegations, calling them “cancellation culture.”
He claimed to have received “confirmation” that “the FBI has never investigated me and is not investigating me because there is nothing to investigate.”
The restraining order was later rejected after a report that the former couple was working on a settlement.
In addition to London and Rylee, Emmett also shares a two-year-old daughter named Ocean with his ex-fiance Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent who accused him of infidelity and abuse.
Emmett has firmly denied Kent’s claim that he “attacked” her during an argument when she confronted him about allegations that he was unfaithful to her.
Speaking to DailyMail.com about her own relationship with Lala, having recently bonded at Ocean’s second birthday party in Los Angeles earlier this year, Ambyr said, “She’s a good mom… She really inspires me.”
“She’s a very hard worker. I appreciate that very much and I draw strength from it.’
Our relationship has not always been easy. We had really bad moments and that’s okay because I had to go through what I had to go through and she had to experience and go through what she did.”
Despite the ongoing struggles in her personal life, Ambyr has hinted at a slew of professional projects keeping her busy, including a podcast and a children’s book.

She continued, “I think we have to go through these things in life. If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger.
“And I know that’s so cliche, but oh my god! If I could watch my 19 year old self getting married – that’s how young I was – I just want to hold her and tell her it’s okay and you’ll be okay and you’ll get through this…
“What we both went through wasn’t easy, but guess what? We’re not the only ones in the world who’ve been through it all – bad justice systems, dealing with exes, dealing with… you name it.
“We’ve both been through a lot and in the end we have beautiful, healthy children.”

She said the ongoing strikes in the industry by WGA and SAG-AFTRA were “hard” and people were “suffering”.
But revealed that the outage prompted her to launch her own online platform called VelvetRope. com.
It allows entertainers to connect directly with fans through live video chats, SMS and exclusive content while generating revenue.
Speaking to DailyMail.com about the endeavor, Ambyr said, “There are so many people in the world who have so much to offer — so much information that I want to share and I wanted people to have access to it.”
