UFOs are usually considered an American phenomenon, but new images show two of them over northern England.
A “concerned citizen,” who wishes to remain anonymous, described seeing unidentified flying objects (UFOs) from her backyard in Stockport.
The first, which was described as resembling a square or triangle, had a blurry appearance and was changing shape and “darting around the sky.”
Meanwhile, the second object – which is brighter white and “tic-tac-shaped” – continued to fade and reappear.
One of the most famous and unusual UFOs to date, spotted by the US Navy in 2004, was a floating mint-like white rectangular object.
The Concerned Citizen shared her encounter with two unidentified flying objects (UFOs) from her backyard in Stockport
The citizen told MailOnline: ‘It was a very strange triangular shape, as it looked like it was made of metal with a dark hole in the middle.’
“Tic Tac was great too, it just kept getting brighter and then it went away and came back.”
The two “suspicious” objects, which the resident saw on separate nights in the first week of October, left her feeling “concerned”.
Nick Pope, a UFO expert who previously worked for the British Ministry of Defence, said the images and the story behind them were “astonishing” but he was unable to identify the aerial entities.
“It’s not possible to know much about this sighting from images alone,” Pope told MailOnline.
“Any mention of a Tic-Tac-shaped object performing unusual maneuvers is particularly interesting given the US Navy’s view of such objects.”
Another British UFO researcher, Philip Mantel, said they could be “conventional” objects such as drones or something else that can be fairly explained.

He told MailOnline: ‘One thing that has been popping up a lot recently is lights from the ground, which are usually an external attraction of some sort.’
“These huge lights reflect the low cloud.
“They look different when looked at from different angles and can look quite stunning.”
“I’ve looked at a lot of pictures of alleged UFOs over the years and most of them turn out to be something conventional.
“I don’t see any reason why these pictures couldn’t be something traditional but they are of poor quality.”
According to the Defense and Security Media Advisory Committee (DSMA), the matter falls under the remit of UK Space Command, which MailOnline has contacted for comment.
UFO stands for “unidentified flying object” and so the term does not necessarily describe an object of extraterrestrial origin.

A recent Pentagon document revealed A typical UFO has a round shape, usually described as a spherical or orb, is white or silvery in color, and is often transparent.
Based on what we know from sightings reported between 1996 and 2023, other UFO shapes include rectangle, oval, triangle, disc, cylinder, square, and even polygon.
Meanwhile, 16 percent are described as having lights, although in many cases this may be due to their reflective properties.
The Pentagon also released a map of hotspots that reveal the location of UFO sightings, including Japan and the Middle East.
