EXCLUSIVE -Trump had dinner with Maria Bartiromo of Melania and Fox News after his D.C. court date: Bedminster golf club members went ‘wild with love’ as ex-president returned for double date night

  • Former President Donald Trump had a date night after his day in DC court
  • He dined with Melania Trump, Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, and her husband
  • Trump received a hero’s welcome when he returned to Bedminster

Former President Donald Trump dined with Melania, Fox anchor Maria Bartiromo and her husband at his New Jersey golf club after his DC appearance.

DailyMail.com can reveal that Trump took on his usual hosting duties when he returned to Bedminster on a double date on Thursday night.

Members went “loose with love” and welcomed him as a hero as he walked around saying “hello” and shaking hands.

He then sat down with the first lady, Bartiromo, and her husband Jonathan Steinberg — just hours after pleading four federal charges related to the 2020 and Jan. 6 elections.

“The President and the First Lady had dinner with Maria Bartiromo and her husband Jonathan. It was a very nice dinner, and the Crowd in the Club went wild with love!’ spokesperson Jason Miller told DailyMail.com.

Thursday was the first time Trump did not give a speech after facing a judge.

In April, while appearing in court in New York City for the Stormy Daniels hush money case, Trump returned to Mar-a-Lago and addressed his supporters there.

In June, when his appointment was in federal court in Miami, Florida, Trump stopped by a Cuban restaurant to greet supporters for the first time.

He then boarded Trump Force One and returned to Bedminster and gave a speech outside the clubhouse.

A fundraiser was previously scheduled at the New Jersey Golf Club for that date, so the ex-president dined with backers as well.

Melania Trump skipped both speeches as she has yet to participate in any campaign events this year, but she has been spotted at Mar-a-Lago and Bedminster with her husband.

She was last photographed leaving Trump Tower in New York in late June.

The former first lady has also been captured while spending time with the couple’s 17-year-old son, Barron.

Trump no longer owns a D.C. hotel and told reporters Thursday afternoon he did not want to stay in the nation’s capital.

“This is a very sad day for America and it was also very sad driving through Washington, DC and seeing the dirt and the decay and all the broken buildings and walls and the graffiti,” Trump said on Ronald Reagan Washington tarmac National Airport.

“This is not where I left,” he continued. “It’s very sad to see.”

Trump’s motorcade went straight from the airport to the E. Barrett Prettyman United States Courthouse and back — so the ex-president saw DC mostly from the freeway, a tunnel that runs under the U.S. Capitol complex and several blocks into the city.

The ex-president — who is well ahead of his GOP rivals for the 2024 nomination — will be back on the campaign trail next week.

He has scheduled a trip to Windham, New Hampshire on Tuesday.

He is expected to make a trip to the Iowa State Fair, which kicks off Thursday.

But Trump has indicated that he will skip the first Republican debate, scheduled for August 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The debate is hosted by the Fox News Channel and the Republican National Committee in the city that will host the Republican National Convention next summer.
