EXCLUSIVE: Top Republican says there’s a ‘potential’ for DHS Secretary Mayorkas impeachment inquiry as Sound of Freedom’s Tim Ballard SLAMS Biden administration for border policies allowing ‘horrifying’ child sex trafficking in the U.S.
Republicans are heading toward a “potential” impeachment of DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas as they expose the horrific human impact of the southern border crisis — including rampant sex trafficking and fentanyl poisonings.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green, R-Tenn., told DailyMail.com on Tuesday that an impeachment of Mayorkas is a very real possibility following new surprising findings he will make public this week.
“Yes, there is a possibility that we could turn this into an investigation now, and I think this is the first time I’m saying it in the media,” he said during an exclusive interview.
The chairman will chair a hearing Wednesday with former DHS agent Tim Ballard, whose harrowing story of rescuing children from sex slavery is featured in the film “The Sound of Freedom.”
Green says “very troubling” details will be revealed during Ballard’s testimony Wednesday that will shock the American public and “potentially lead” to an impeachment inquiry.
“We need to know if Mayorkas understands, you know, if he’s really as stupid as this seems. Or is this that he understands what’s going on and just doesn’t care?’
Ballard tells DailyMail.com that the Biden administration’s policies are responsible for the child sex slavery crisis at the US border.
“It’s absolutely horrific and it’s all because of one thing: America’s border policy is creating all of this,” Ballard said.
Former DHS agent Tim Ballard – who inspired the famous movie Sound of Freedom – says Biden administration policies are responsible for child trafficking
The Biden administration has lost track of the more than 85,000 unaccompanied minors who have crossed the U.S. border in recent years, said Ballard, who served as a special agent for the Department of Homeland Security for more than a decade.
The children become easy “prey for the traffickers,” creating an “alarming situation” that he says is being largely ignored by the Biden administration.
As a result, he says Mayorkas should face further investigation by Congress.
“Yes, I would absolutely support an impeachment inquiry against Mayorkas,” Ballard told DailyMail.com ahead of Wednesday’s hearing, because children’s lives are “being destroyed.”
“They are kidnapped, trafficked and raped,” he continued.
“So if we have a secretary who completely ignores these facts, and ignores the plight of those children, then I would absolutely support an impeachment inquiry.”
Frontier Vice President Kamala Harris and the entire Biden administration have shown “contempt for the plight of these poor children,” Ballard says.
The former DHS agent told DailyMail.com that Honduran President Xiomara Castro is trying to meet with Mayorkas about the more than 3,000 unaccompanied Honduran children currently in the US. And Guatemala has raised similar concerns as young children have been smuggled out of the country and into the country. The United States
Ballard says he hopes Mayorkas will allow him to participate in the meeting at the Castro border.
He added that the border was never “politicized” until the Biden administration, and that DHS agents suffer from low morale and higher suicide rates because they are “not allowed to do their jobs.”
“If you imagine that an American law enforcement officer, who has dedicated his life to saving children, is now ordered to participate in what they know will be the last leg of the child trafficking ring, that would leave anyone with endanger law enforcement agency. heart in despair.’
An estimated 17 Border Patrol agents died by suicide in 2022, the highest number in 13 years.
Ballard says Kamala Harris’ “mockery of the wall” exacerbated the issue.
“I’m the most pro-immigration person I know. I have two adopted children who are immigrants. So I’m for big walls and wide gateways,” he told DailyMail.com.
As for the continued success of the Sound of Freedom film, Ballard says he’s still “shocked by it.”
But he is grateful for the success because he now gets audiences from Latin American leaders, including Castro and others, who are helping to bring about change.
On July 4, Sound of Freedom grossed $14 million, while the latest Indiana Jones film only grossed $11.5 million, according to the Post Millennial. It is now the number one film in Latin America.
“And it forces a conversation that I think the American people wanted to have but didn’t know how to start,” he added.
Ballard said the film was not intended to “make a statement about border policy,” but that it appeared at the exact time it was needed most.
“I think Mr. Ballard’s testimony and questioning will be very enlightening for everyone,” Green continued.
Other witnesses at Wednesday’s hearing include Sandy Snodgrass, who lost her son Bruce to fentanyl poisoning in 2021. Mayra Cantu, wife of Border Patrol Agent Gary Cantu, will also testify about the “consequences” of the border crisis.
Republicans announced Tuesday that they have opened a formal impeachment inquiry against President Biden over his connections to his son Hunter’s business dealings.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy told Republicans investigating the president’s ties to Hunter’s foreign affairs deals that impeachment is the “next logical step.”
He then announced the start of an impeachment investigation into Joe and his family’s “culture of corruption.”
The White House has maintained that Joe was never involved in Hunter’s dealings and so far the Republican Party has presented “no evidence of wrongdoing.”
Chairman Green said Tuesday that “Republicans need to walk and chew gum at the same time” regarding the two possible impeachments.
“It is entirely appropriate and appropriate that several jurisdictional committees are simultaneously investigating the failures and misdeeds of officials serving in or associated with the Biden administration,” he said.
The number of illegal migrants has increased during the summer months.
There were a reported 100,000 migrants in June, an estimated 132,000 in July and more than 177,000 reportedly entering the US in August.
“Yes, I would absolutely support an impeachment inquiry against Mayorkas,” Ballard told DailyMail.com
As for the continued success of the Sound of Freedom film, Ballard says he’s still “shocked by it.”

Last week, the House Homeland Security Committee released “Phase 2” of its comprehensive report on the crisis at the southern border.
It found that Mexican drug cartels are worsening the humanitarian crisis.
The committee is also investigating the number of migrants who have died in the US
Some estimates predict more than 500 deaths in 2023 alone.
On Tuesday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said it was recorded Last year there were 686 “deaths and disappearances” of migrants at the border.
The organization estimates the figure is much higher due to ‘missing data’.
As a result, the US-Mexico border is the “deadliest land migration route in the world.”
Another concern for Green and his larger committee is the threat that Chinese spies could use the southern border to gain entry into the US.
Green told DailyMail.com that the committee will hold future hearings on the threat of Chinese infiltrators using the border.
Ballard will join Rep. separately on Tuesday. Chris Smith, R.N.J. at a news conference to shed light on a new bill that would require the Biden administration to find the 85,000 unaccompanied children.
