Fans craving one of those infamous huge salads served in big plastic containers and popular with the Kardashians should no longer expect to be able to use the green stuff to afford their veggies.
That’s because the Los Angeles restaurant behind those iconic gourmet salad bowls, Health Nut, is now running only on “cash” payments due to escalating crime in the area, DailyMail.com has learned.
The Kardashian-Jenner sisters are longtime fans of the restaurant chain and its salads — often shaking them vigorously in their iconic large plastic bowls and stabbing them with forks before gobbling them up on their reality show.
The restaurant has been operating in three LA County locations since 1988, and last year matriarch Kris Jenner, 67, revealed she had signed on as an investor in the company.

The celebrity sisters have long been fans of the LA-based restaurant chain Health Nut, and in 2022, matriarch Kris Jenner, 67, announced her partnership with the company
But the popular salad chain has now implemented a cashless policy as a “security measure” after a series of “recent thefts in our community,” according to signs at the Woodland Hills location.
The notoriously money-conscious “momager” probably saw the value in partnering with the brand the family had promoted heavily on E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians for years, and announced her deal with Health Nut in May 2022.
Kim, 42, and Khloe, 39, are known as fans of the Chinese salad, and Kourtney, 44, the Chef’s Salad.
Kendall, 27, and Kylie, 26, meanwhile, have been seen on camera eating Health Nut’s Deluxe Salad, which consists of chopped romaine hearts, shredded chicken, sunflower seeds, tomato, carrots, and English cucumbers.
The Kardashians’ endorsement has been great for Health Nut’s business, but the new policy suggests that not all has been good for the chain thanks to an increase in thefts and robberies in the community.
At the Woodland Hills location — less than a mile from Hidden Hills, where most of the sisters live — a large sign now greets customers notifying them of the change.
Health note – WE ARE CASHLESS. Due to recent thefts in our community, we are going cashless for everyone’s safety and to better serve you. Thank you,” it says.
Several sources at the Health Nut have told DailyMail.com that the new measure has helped staff feel safer, but also admitted that the recent rollout has not been as smooth.

“I think we’ve lost business,” a longtime employee tells DailyMail.com. “Not everyone has a credit card and they get mad when we have to refuse them.”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian is an ardent supporter of controversial Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon, 69, who was elected to a four-year term in 2020.
During his first days on the job, he called for an end to the death penalty, the abolition of bail for non-violent crimes, and an end to the prosecution of first-time offenders.
In a Dec. 7, 2020 Instagram post, Kim wrote, “Los Angeles County is the largest prison system in the nation and is (SIC) home to the largest jurisdiction in the state. These changes from the district attorney’s office are the change we’ve been waiting for, and I hope they have a ripple effect across the country. Soon more people will see the justice they deserve. @GeorgeGascon.’
Kim and George argue that instead of incarceration, the change in the justice system will lead to rehabilitation.
But fast forward, nearly three years later, and Los Angeles has plunged into utter turmoil.
On Saturday, August 12, a gang of flash mob-style thieves made headlines around the world when they robbed the nearby Nordstrom store in Topanga Mall of $300,000 worth of designer goods and escaped without a single arrest.

In nearby Chatsworth, Capriotti’s sandwich shop was held at gunpoint for $500 cash from the till.
Several high-end stores in nearby Calabasas have also experienced robberies despite having security on site.
Retail strategist and owner of iconic Kitson stores Fraser Ross weighed in on the payment policy, telling DailyMail.com: “I’m not surprised the Health Nut decided to go cashless.”

Kris Jenner probably doesn’t want to be held responsible if anything happened. Shops are robbed and looted every day. We even have to let our employees walk to their cars in broad daylight.
Kim made her career in the background of Los Angeles. She supported Gascon and now she sees the consequences of what she and he wanted.
It’s literally free for everyone. Even Khloe said in a recent interview, “I miss my old LA.”
Meanwhile, LA City Councilwoman Heather Hutt recently filed a motion to ban companies like the Health Nut from going cashless, arguing that the system is not conducive to fostering an “inclusive” economy.
“Cashless businesses are creating an economy in our city that is not inclusive and accessible to all people,” she said.
“There are many unbanked groups, including minorities, and low-income communities that rely on cash to pay for goods and services.”
If the motion is approved, the alderman will be asked to draft an ordinance.
