EXCLUSIVE: The Block’s Shaynna Blaze FINALLY discusses her long-running feud with Scott Cam and what she thinks of his nasty comments
After years of alleged feuding, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze has finally broken her silence over the long-standing and much-publicized rift with host Scott Cam.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia during Channel Nine’s 2024 presentation on Wednesday, the 60-year-old interior designer denied there was any ongoing feud between the two.
“Oh God, no, there’s nothing going on between me and Scotty,” she explained.
“There’s no bad blood. People just make things up. It happens every year…”
When asked how she felt about Scott subtly lashing out at her during a recent radio interview, Shaynna explained that it’s “all kind of fun.”

She hinted that these minor rubs might have been a tactic to keep the audience captivated, stirring the pot to boost the ratings.
Shaynna also spoke about the emerging tensions and unfolding drama among the show’s contestants.
Giving her seasoned perspective, she said, “They’ve all been tested, they’re exhausted.”

“I think it’s one of those things where if there’s no drama, they’re clearly not trying hard enough.”
It comes amid reports that Shaynna is at her wits end over Scott’s unnecessary comments.
“He’s turning the set into a pressure cooker, making things a lot trickier than they need to be,” a source told the Daily Mail Australia last month.
“Oh God, no, there’s nothing going on between me and Scotty,” she explained. “There’s no bad blood. People just make things up. It happens every year…”
“She gets really sick of his pointless comments. They all have a job to do and these comments only make things more awkward and tense than they need to be.’
Scotty called Shaynna infamous on national television in 2017 after what he deemed “unfair scores.”
Following the incident, fans called on Scott to apologize for the off-putting comment.
“@ScottyCam9, there is no reason to label @ShaynnaBlaze in such a way. It’s high time for a sincere apology. #theblock #familyshow,” one furious fan tweeted.
In addition, it was not missed that Scott pronounced Shaynna with the derogatory term, ignoring the male judges.
One viewer commented, “Bringing @ShaynnaBlaze to attention with that term on prime time TV is regressive and downright disrespectful.”

As Scott and Shaynna’s feud steals the spotlight, another twist comes from Shelley Craft, who didn’t hold back in a recent promotion interview.
She avoided direct mentions but left little to the imagination and alluded to last year’s contestants Sharon and Ankur, calling their participation “an absolute disaster” and calling them the “worst team.”
Shelley also talked about the casting, highlighting that they lean more towards “characters” than any actual building knowledge.
