EXCLUSIVE: Teen Mom star Leah Messer, 31, candidly opens up about her DATING woes in the wake of split from fiance Jaylan Mobley – admitting reality star fame and mom duties have taken a brutal toll on her love life: ‘I’m lacking in the sex department!’
Teen Mom star Leah Messer has opened up about her fears about dating after splitting from her ex-fiancée, Jaylan Mobley.
The 31-year-old reality TV star spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about how “hard” it can be to date “with cameras around” following her return to the MTV franchise on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter which is currently is broadcast.
And there’s no doubt that being a mom to twins Aliannah Hope and Aleeah Grace, 13, as well as Adalynn Faith, 10, keeps her busy.
“I think it can be really hard to date with the cameras around. You just never know what someone’s intentions are,” Leah told DailyMail.com.

“So you have to figure those out, you have to learn those. And I don’t have a love life, with my children I do. As far as dating goes, I’m not interested in any kind of distractions at this point. I think I will attract what is meant for me and our lives.
‘I’d enjoy that, someone to build with, grow with, make money with, absolutely. But at this point in my life, your girl falls short in the love department and the sex department, so to speak.’
Leah, from West Virginia, and Jaylan, 26, split last October, two months after getting engaged.
At the time, the couple expressed their gratitude for the good times they shared while announcing their shocking breakup.
“While the past year has been extremely exciting for both of us, we’ve realized it’s best to go down different paths,” they said on Instagram.
“We are so grateful for the lessons, growth and memories we have had in this relationship. So many of you have seen our love story unfold, and we hope you continue to follow our stories as we move forward as friends.”
They ended their statement by saying, “We will love and respect each other forever, and we ask for privacy as we refocus and step out of this chapter together.”
Leah was previously married to Corey Simms, with whom she shares Aliannah and Aleeah, from 2010 to 2011.

In 2012, she tied the knot with Jeremy Calvert, and the couple welcomed Adalynn during their time together. They broke up in 2015.
During her chat with DailyMail.com, Leah also gushed about how “proud” she was of her daughters.
“They have incredible, unique personalities and it’s so cathartic for me to see everything I’ve taught myself to build a better foundation come to fruition in their lives and on their journeys,” she said.
“And I know they won’t be perfect, but I tell them every day that I think we’re all imperfect people. We take on challenges and we let them grow us.
“But I want to see more of the kids on the show because every one of my kids is absolutely amazing.”
Leah was also joined by fellow costars Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra, both 31, who were aware they wouldn’t pass on “intergenerational trauma.”
“I think I’m just proud that our girls will be able to see Tyler and I go through some of these intergenerational traumas that won’t be passed down to them,” she said.
‘I think it’s important to show people, no matter how difficult it is, it can be done.’

The couple – Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 – share growth.
The couple also posted first child Carly, who is now 14, during their time on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant in 2009
As for Tyler, he said he loved watching the daughters he shared with Catelynn — Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 — grow. They also have 14-year-old Carly, who they put up for adoption in 2009 during MTV’s 16 & Pregnant.
“Especially Nova… she’s very wise, very intelligent for her age. And that is a proof of our parentage. And it’s like that’s the greatest joy for me to see how curious she is,” he said.
“I see how she talks to her friends, and she will correct them on certain things. She will teach them certain things. She is humble enough to say, I’m sorry and I made a mistake.
“And things like that that I don’t care if your kid can talk Chinese or Japanese, play the violin, that’s all great, but if they’re not a nice person and a compassionate human being, then you’ve failed as a parent.”
So, in my opinion, be kind, compassionate and curious when you see her. I’m proud of myself, I’m proud of us, I’m proud of our children.’
The couple, who have been together since 2005, also lashed out at trolls who broke up their relationship.
“You can go to my Instagram and see what I posted today…they feel like Tyler is just belittling me or my body is shaming me. And frankly, I think it’s ridiculous,” Catelynn told DailyMail.com.
They share four daughters together, the eldest of whom, Carly, was adopted at birth
As for Tyler, he said he loved watching the daughters he shared with Catelynn — Rya, 21 months, Vaeda, 4, and Novalee, 8 — grow up.
“I think they saw a clip of[the TV show]nine years ago and they don’t know the context of it because some stuff was edited out of that conversation as well, and we literally had no drama that season.
And so that kind of pisses me off because, especially being a mother of all girls, if you think I’m just going to sit here and stay in a relationship with someone who’s body shaming me in front of my daughters, then you’re lying you out. of your mind because they will learn that is okay.
“Tyler is a great husband, he’s a great dad to all the girls. He even talks about body positivity to our girls all the time.’
She added, “I talked my ass off about it and now I’m kind of over it. Now let people believe what they want to believe.’
Tyler said he was on the same page as Catelynn when it came to rumors because there were “so many.”
“One minute I’m shaming her. One minute I’m gay, I don’t even like her. So it’s like they have to choose which conspiracy theory to believe,” he further explained.
“I don’t know what to tell you, but I continue to live my truth fervently and whatever is shown there is what is, so take it as you please.”
When asked if he still had an OnlyFans to show off his body transformation journey, Catelynn joked, “Yeah, he has. If you want to see more,” she joked that she was his “wife.”
Tyler added with a laugh, “I’m telling you, this is a mother boss here.”
