Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes may have been roasted online for their secret handshake at last weekend’s Kansas Chiefs game, but insiders have claimed that the new friends are far from feeling “embarrassed” and are in fact taking their bond to the next level lift. by planning double dates with their NFL partners.
The pop sensation, 33, and Brittany, 28, debuted their new move as they celebrated the Chiefs’ first touchdown against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night.
Their victory dance, which involved clapping the front and back of their hands before bumping their hips, was staged by embittered keyboard warriors who called it “cringe.”
But sources close to the couple claim they are shaking off the hate as they are busy planning double dates with their respective partners, Travis Kelce, 34, and Patrick Mahomes, 28.

The insider continued, “Now they’re friends, they both want to please each other and work on building their relationship, so when people see their handshakes and do the girly girl thing, that’s exactly what people around them expect will happen to happen. They’re not ashamed of it.’
Turning his attention to the longevity of their budding friendship, the insider added, “Taylor and Brittany will hang out in the future.
“There has been talk that Brittany and Patrick will see one of her shows abroad after the season ends.
‘Although their friendship mainly takes place in the stadium, they are slowly but surely going on more and more double dates and hanging out with each other more often.’
Brittany is joined in the Arrowhead Stadium suite by her children – Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 11 months, and Sterling Skye, two – whom she shares with her Chiefs quarterback husband.
At one point, the retired women’s soccer player was seen dancing with Taylor while carrying Sterling on her hip.

The pair appear to have gotten closer since Taylor cheered on her new boyfriend for the first time during a game on September 24.
The Shake it Off singer is reportedly being hailed as a ‘lucky charm’ by Travis, whose team have won their last four matches.
The tight end celebrated the Chiefs’ latest win with a kiss from Taylor.
The photo, which was shared on Instagram by the girlfriend of Travis’ teammate Mecole Hardman Jr., can be seen Taylor reached over to her new man to plant a kiss on his cheek.
The loved-up couple returned to his country home after the match, where they celebrated with a barbecue meal.
