Taylor Swift has landed in Buenos Aires ahead of the South American leg of her Eras Tour, which kicks off on Thursday.

The pop star is seen in exclusive photos from DailyMail.com shielding herself with a black umbrella as she stepped off her private jet on Wednesday.

Super fans of the pop sensation have been camping out for five months in anticipation of the star bringing her Eras Tour to Buenos Aires. They tell DailyMail.com they want to be first in line to see her.

Dozens of ‘Swifties’ have been sleeping in small tents outside Argentina’s Estadio River Plate Stadium in a bid to catch the star’s first glimpse of the stage in two months.

It will be the first time Taylor, 33, has ever played in South America, restarting the Eras Tour in Argentina for three nights before traveling to Brazil.

But rising ticket prices in the US have seen fans from across the US traveling to South America to watch the pop star – leaving locals worried they may be pushed to the back of the queue.

Lucia Visnevetsky, 19, is one of about 45 people taking turns spending the night in a small two-person tent outside the tour location.

β€œWe want to make sure we are the first to see her,” the student told DailyMail.com. ‘Our group takes turns staying in the tent, so we are at the very front of the queue.

β€œWe know there will be huge numbers of people here and VIP tickets coming in early, but it’s a very special time for her to come here.

“She’s never performed here before, it’s the first time in 15 years, and we want to make sure we get the best view we can.”

Visnevetsky and her friends – from Argentina, Puerto Rico and Venezuela – paid $180 for a ticket, bringing the average monthly income for Argentines to $200.

She added: β€œIt’s very expensive to get tickets here, and most people got them through resale. Some of them got scammed and lost their money. It has made a difficult situation even more difficult.

‘Taylor is the biggest star in the world right now and in Argentina. Only under Messi does everyone want to see her.

‘We know that tourists also come here because it is cheaper. That’s why we’ve been camping for months.’

Effi Garcia, 20, said that when tickets went on sale, their “Tent City” initially had a much larger presence, with one woman even camping with her children.

‘The woman with her daughter had been here for a while, but not many people like us have stuck around.

‘Many people here come from Argentina, but there is also a group of girls from Chile and Bolivia who have traveled for this purpose.

“The only other artist we would even consider lining up for in this way is Harry Styles, or Louis Tomlinson.”

Other fans complained that supplies for friendship bracelets, which are popular with the fanbase, have completely sold out in Buenos Aires.

Merchandise for the tour appears to be slightly cheaper in Argentina, with fans traveling from New York stocking up on T-shirts with Swift’s face on them three days before the show.

Many are also hoping to catch a glimpse of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, 34, on the show, with the player having a two-week break in his schedule.

Garcia added, “We’re obviously here for Taylor, but it would be great if Travis comes here to support her as well.”

Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs, in a stroke of luck, are in their bye week when Taylor’s tour restarts and he has no game between November 5 and 20.

Swift has shown her support for her new boyfriend by attending several games at Arrowhead Stadium, and hosted a watch party for the WAGs at her New York apartment as the Chiefs took on the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

The superstar couple’s whirlwind romance has taken over America, with Taylor traveling to watch Travis play in three of his last four matches.

His next match on November 20 against the Eagles will come as they continue their South American leg of the tour in Brazil.
