EXCLUSIVE: Sasha Obama is seen picking up MOVING BOXES in Los Angeles – after living with sister Malia for more than a year

Sasha Obama was spotted buying a stack of moving boxes in Los Angeles on Monday – more than a year after moving to the West Coast.

The youngest daughter of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama transferred from the University of Michigan to the University of Southern California last year to complete her studies.

Sasha, 22, shares an apartment with her screenwriter sister, Malia Obama, 25, but she has not made her future plans public since graduating last May with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

She hinted at an impending move when she was seen lugging a handful of boxes from a local UPS store by herself this week.

Sasha was dressed casually in a black sleeveless shirt and baggy jeans. She completed her look with black sandals and a metallic brown bag slung over her shoulder.

The former first daughter’s micro braids slid down her back and she wore oversized glasses with black frames.

Her signature long nails appeared to be painted light pink after being blue the week before.

There are countless reasons why she bought moving boxes; she could move to another city, get her own house or move into a new apartment with her sister.

Sasha followed in Malia’s footsteps when she moved to LA last year.

Her older sister had moved to the West Coast to pursue a career as a screenwriter after graduating from Harvard University in 2021.

Malia then scored a lucrative position writing for Donald Glover’s Amazon show, Swarm previously worked as an intern on Lena Dunham’s HBO series Girls in 2015 and at The Weinstein Company in 2017.

Last year, their mother said during an appearance on the Today show that her daughters are “best friends.”

Michelle recalled inviting her and her husband to their apartment for drinks during a recent visit as they reflected on what it was like to watch them navigate adulthood.

“We wanted to take them out to dinner and they said, ‘Why don’t you come to our place for a cocktail?’ she said. “And we were like, “Okay, let’s see what this is going to be like.”

“The martinis were a little weak,” she admitted. “I don’t think they really knew what it was.”

Michelle also shared her joy at her daughters’ uncharacteristic insistence on using coasters in their apartment.

“When we got the glasses, they said, ‘Use a coaster,’ and I said, ‘You never used a coaster in my house,’” she said. “So if it’s your stuff, will you take care of it?”

The Obama sisters are often spotted in LA – both together and separately.

Last week, Sasha was photographed making a pit stop at a 7-Eleven before meeting her parents and sister for dinner.

She was dressed casually in a black hooded sweatshirt with “DC is my Park” written on the front in white.

Sasha paired the hoodie with baggy olive green cargo pants that covered her black sandals as she walked out of the grocery store.

The recent graduate had her keys, wallet and cell phone in her hand before she got behind the wheel of her black SUV and went to meet her family.

Sasha and Malia arrived separately for dinner, just two minutes apart.

Their parents followed close behind with their security team, including Secret Service agents and police, to ensure their safety.

The Obamas have traveled to Los Angeles numerous times in recent years to visit their daughters.

It’s unclear how long Michelle and Barack spent together in LA.

The former president was spotted leaving Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills earlier this month.

Paparazzi who caught him leaving the hotspot asked him if his wife, Michelle, would make a bid for the White House amid swirling rumors.

Barack said something inaudible to waiting photographers, but he didn’t give a clear answer to the question.

It comes after prominent Texas politician and former Republican candidate Ted Cruz speculated that Michelle could replace Joe Biden before the 2024 election.

The Texas senator said Democrats may want to prevent the 80-year-old Biden from being nominated because of concerns about his old age.

“This is the scenario that I think is perhaps the most likely and most dangerous,” he said on his “Verdict with Ted Cruz” podcast. “In August 2024, the Democratic kingmakers will throw Joe Biden overboard and parachute in Michelle Obama.”

At the time, Michelle was vacationing aboard Steven Spielberg’s yacht on the Italian Riviera with the acclaimed director and his wife Kate Capshaw, as well as Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson.

A few days after he was spotted in Los Angeles, they celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary with gushing tributes on October 3, despite spending the day apart.
