EXCLUSIVE: Nicole Kidman ‘not fazed’ after Amy Schumer mocks photo of actress at US Open – as fans accuse comedian of ‘cyberbullying’

Nicole Kidman is ‘not impressed’ by Amy Schumer’s mocking Instagram post in which the comedian poked fun at the Hollywood superstar’s seating at the US Open this weekend.

In the photo, Kidman, 56, stared wide-eyed into the camera as she watched the women’s singles final between American sensation Coco Gauff and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

Under the photo, Schumer, 42, wrote in the caption, “This is how people sit.” But many followers didn’t find the comment funny and quickly started accusing the Trainwreck star of bullying.

Sources close to Kidman revealed the Moulin Rouge star paid no attention to the furore, telling DailyMail.com: ‘It’s a bit silly and she’s not upset.’

The American star, 42, took to Instagram on Monday and shared a photo with the caption: ‘This how people sit’

DailyMail.com has contacted Kidman’s representatives for comment.

Schumer made waves when she took to Instagram on Monday and shared a photo of the Australian actress, 56, wearing a pink dress and watching the game with her hand under her chin.

Many fans appreciated the joke at Kidman’s expense, but others weren’t as impressed and used the comments to express their displeasure.

Later, Schumer took to Instagram to joke about it: “I want to apologize to all the people I hurt by posting a photo of Nicole Kidman and referencing the fact that she is an alien.

“I’m going to ask the cast of that 1970s show to write letters pleading for my forgiveness.” She added the hashtag “taking time to heal.”

“Are you currently cyberbullying Oscar and Emmy winner Nicole Kidman?” wrote one follower.

‘This message seems beneath you. What point are you trying to make here?’ another added.

“She’s probably uncomfortable because there’s a complete stranger recording her. That’s the look of annoyance and frustration leaking through the Botox,” someone else said sarcastically.

Schumer later joked on Instagram about the backlash she received: “I want to apologize to all the people I hurt by posting a photo of Nicole Kidman and referencing the fact that she is an alien.”

She continued, “I’m going to ask the cast of that ’70s show to write letters pleading for my forgiveness.” She added the hashtag “taking time to heal.”

Another fan expressed his disappointment with Schumer.

‘Wow so mean! “I expected one of my favorite comedians to have more respect for the feelings of others than this,” they said.

The same critic then replied with a long thread about beauty standards for older celebrity women.

“Putting others down is always a sign of our own internal insecurities anyway, so the critics here should hold a mirror up to us,” they wrote.

Another follower chided Schumer in the comments about the meanness of the joke.

‘I always thought you were funny, saw all your specials and films, read your book. But trolling this selective mean girl in public? No thanks,” they noted.

Kidman looked glamorous while playing tennis in a chic suit with pocket details and three buttons.

She finished her look with a tailored white jacket and cream loafers, and kept her accessories to a minimum with a simple wristwatch.

The Moulin Rouge! The star wore her strawberry blonde locks in a low-maintenance side ponytail for the outing, and kept her makeup palette understated for the hottest ticket in town.

Following Gauff’s triumphant win, Kidman took to Instagram to congratulate the 19-year-old.

‘Congratulations Coco! Thank you USOpen! Great Women’s Final 2023,” she wrote alongside the images shared on Instagram.

Gauff made a brilliant comeback to claim the US Open, with a win Sabalenka would become a 2-6 6-3 6-2 winner.

It comes after Schumer recently criticized celebrities for losing weight but not admitting to using Ozempic.

The actress told the stars to “just stop hiding” while taking the diabetes drug during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in June.

The star also revealed her experiences on Ozempic left her ‘skinny’ and ‘sick’, leaving her unable to play with son Gene, three.

She said, ‘You’re on Ozempic or one of those things, or you’ve done work. Just stop hiding the use of the type II diabetes drug.”

‘Be real with people. When I got lipo, I said I had lipo.”

Schumer underwent liposuction in January 2022 and dropped down to 170 pounds.

The star revealed she took Ozempic ‘a year ago’ and although she saw immediate results, semaglutode was not ‘viable’ as a weight loss option.

“I was one of those people who felt so sick and couldn’t play with my son,” she said.

“I was so skinny, and he throws a ball at me, and (I couldn’t do it).”
