EXCLUSIVE: Mom, 27, becomes a surrogate mother for the second time in less than TWO YEARS – after ‘feeling in love’ with her pregnancy while carrying her own two-year-old son
A 27-year-old mother has become a surrogate mother for the second time after falling in love with the feeling of being pregnant, and has now vowed to give other parents children.
After giving birth to her own son, Lando, now two, Savannah Morrell, from Maryland, felt an overwhelming desire to carry a child again and decided she would lend her womb to help those who couldn’t have children of their own.
Because she had a pregnancy without complications, she felt like it was her “calling” to give someone else a child, so she became a surrogate mother.
After seeing the look on the face of the first family she was a surrogate for, she forced herself to become pregnant for the third time to bring joy to another set of wonderful parents.

She welcomed her first surrogate in October last year and is currently pregnant with her second surrogate, due to arrive in June 2024.
She said: ‘I have absolutely loved the whole experience of being pregnant with my son.
‘It’s so wonderful to watch your belly grow and feel the baby moving inside you. It’s such an incredible feeling when you feel that little person making little movements.
‘I love the sensation of seeing my body change every month, hearing their heartbeat with every scan and seeing what they look like every time.’
She was overwhelmed by the feeling of pregnancy, noting that she “couldn’t wait” to get pregnant again.
Savannah added, “I fell in love with everything about it, and my pregnancy went so smoothly. I just knew I couldn’t wait to do it again.
‘I suddenly had the feeling that it was my calling to be able to give a baby to someone else who was having a hard time.
‘
Savannah had heard of surrogacy, but admitted she never seriously considered it until she met a woman who was struggling to have a child.

During one of her appointments during her pregnancy with Lando, she met a woman who had been trying to have a child for fifteen years.
Savannah recalled how her heart broke when she heard this stranger complain about her struggles, adding that she could see the pain in her eyes as she fought back tears.
The 27-year-old noted that after she had her baby, it dawned on her that she could help those who were struggling to conceive.
Three months after giving birth, she started looking into becoming a surrogate mother and found an agency. Within six months of signing up, she was matched with her first set of parents.
Savannah says she was so excited to start the journey as soon as she was matched with the couple.
Savannah and her supportive husband, David, 41, underwent multiple screenings and tests before their transfer day.
However, when she found out she was pregnant, Savannah was over the moon and enjoyed sharing every milestone with the couple she was having a baby for.
She said: ‘I knew I was carrying a baby that wasn’t mine, so it was never weird or a struggle.

‘The excitement the couple expressed during the pregnancy and how much they couldn’t wait to meet her was so special and made me so excited for them too.
‘I was so happy I could do this for them.
We also built such a great relationship between all of us.”
Savannah noted that the look on the parents’ faces when they saw their child for the first time was worth everything.
She explained: “I had their baby in October last year. One of the fathers saw her come out.
‘They both cried as soon as they saw her.
There was such an overwhelming rush of emotions in the room.
“Seeing them laughing, crying, holding her hands and being skin-to-skin with her was better than I could have ever imagined.
“I kept thinking that they were finally going through what my husband and I went through when we had our son.”

Savannah said: ‘The first time went so great, I knew I wanted to do it again. I couldn’t have done this without my husband’s unwavering support.
“He guided me every step of the way. Even when I first told him I wanted to be a surrogate, he never doubted it, he was just always right behind me supporting me.
‘My parents have also been so supportive of me. It is so important to have a strong system of love and support around you when you are a surrogate.
“David even had to undergo blood tests and psychiatric evaluations so I could do this.”
She explained that her second surrogacy flew by and she had no complications (as evidenced by her first surrogacy).

Savannah explained, “I feel like I’ve gained new families through these trips. They are part of my family now, and my family is part of their families. I have been speaking and FaceTime with the family regularly since my first surrogacy journey.
“They send me pictures and updates all the time, and I plan to have the same relationship with the second family. It’s a beautiful thing.’
