Meryl Streep was spotted for the first time since her split from husband Don Gummer.
Still wearing her wedding ring, the 74-year-old actress appeared to be in good spirits as she enjoyed a night out for Joni Mitchell’s 80th birthday party in Los Angeles.
She was spotted with her son, Henry Wolfe, 43, as they joined other A-list names including Goldie Hawn, Cyndi Lauper and Anjelica Huston at the Smoke House Restaurant in Burbank, California.
More than two weeks earlier it was announced that she had split up with her husband after 45 years of marriage and had actually been divorced for ‘more than six years’.
For her first public appearance since the shocking announcement, The Devil Wears Prada star put on a stylish show as she rocked a black latex button-up blouse.

She combined the top with elegant gray trousers and a chic black boot with a pointed toe.
To match the iridescent style of her top, she carried a periwinkle blue clutch bag and her phone in hand during the outing.
The Mamma Mia alumna left her usual honey blonde and white hair down and brushed it out of her face.
She wore one of her iconic glasses with a black cat-eye frame.
She also wore a pair of dangling sapphire earrings and was spotted with her wedding ring still clearly visible on her ring finger.
Beside her, her eldest child and only son looked effortlessly stylish in a black blazer worn over a classic white T-shirt.
He donned loose-fitting slacks and crisp white sneakers to attend the party with his mother.
He was seen carrying another jacket as he left the restaurant with Streep and headed to their car together.

In October, it was revealed that Streep and Gummer, her husband of 45 years, had been separated for “more than six years” after deciding to live their “lives apart.”
The couple first married in 1978 and share four children: Henry and Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa Jacobson, 30.
In a statement shared with Page sixa spokesperson said the couple “has been separated for more than six years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen to live separate lives.”
According to the outlet, Streep has not made any public appearances with Gummer since the 2018 Oscars.
The former couple was first introduced through Meryl’s brother in 1978 and later married in September that same year in a romantic ceremony in the garden of her parents’ home.
