“The key issue between Caitlyn and Kris is baggage,” the insider claimed. “As much as Bruce was hard to deal with, Caitlyn seems to be even more of a loose cannon and that’s mostly because Caitlyn is her true self and there isn’t much of the Bruce that Kris knew and loved within Caitlyn anymore .

‘Kris is still trying to deal with the transition. A man she fell in love with, and had children with, is no longer there, it’s like he’s dead, and she already has one dead man to deal with and all those emotions, it’s easier to separate from it than to meet it head-on.

‘Caitlyn is a completely different person. Their children are also older and now adults, so they don’t really need to talk to each other anymore.

“Everyone has their own lives and does their own thing, so it’s rare that everyone gets together or talks, it’s just more of a hassle than anything else.”

The insider continued: ‘It’s gotten to the point where they really have nothing to talk about. If they were together for lunch or something, they would probably just talk about the weather, or it would be as awkward as being in an elevator with a bunch of people and everyone avoiding eye contact.

‘This is the life they both choose to live, and that won’t change. They’re only really going to deal with each other when they have to, they’re not going to go out of their way to fix it.’

Kris’ first marriage was to lawyer Robert Kardashian, with whom she has daughters Kourtney (44), Kim (42), Khloé (39) and son Rob (36).

They divorced in March 1991 but remained close friends until his death from esophageal cancer in 2003.

‘I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have contact with her anymore. It’s quite sad because we’ve been through a lot.’

‘I just turned 40 and met Kris on a blind date, we hit it off from day one. Was it love at first sight? Pretty close to it, yes.
