EXCLUSIVE: Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall buck the grim trend in Australia’s construction industry as they continue to build their $30 million Westfields-style McMansion on Sydney’s Whale Beach

Jennifer Hawkins is making progress on the development of her $30 million Westfields-style McMansion on Whale Beach.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 39, and her husband Jake Wall, 40, appear to have been given the go-ahead for construction to begin building in the wealthy suburb, 40 kilometers north of Sydney’s central business district.

Aerial photos obtained by Daily Mail Australia show a construction site set up on the huge piece of land, which is four times the size of the neighboring townhouses.

The original 1950s home was demolished to make way for a multi-story modern mansion that will include a basketball court, swimming pool and large garage.

The luxury property will also have an internal lift connecting all three floors, as well as five bedrooms, multiple living areas and a large kitchen.

The property has breathtaking ocean views and sits atop a beautiful cliff close to local amenities.

A newly constructed dirt foundation currently covers the construction site, which occupies a double block and sits on a hill overlooking the beach.

Building materials and excavators are dotted around the large grounds, while scaffolding covers the front perimeter.

The property appears to be about four times larger than its neighbours, with its size reminiscent of Chris Hemsworth’s Westfield-inspired mansion in Byron Bay.

The block, once owned by the late Joan Sutherland, was purchased by Jennifer and Jake in 2020 for $6.95 million.

Hawkins, 39, and Wall dated for eight years before they tied the knot in a Bali ceremony in June 2013.

The lovebirds, who are both from Newcastle, New South Wales, have two children, daughter Frankie and son Hendrix.
