ITV has won back the rights to show England men’s team matches, Mailsport can reveal.
The broadcaster has agreed a four-year contract to take over from Channel 4 when their deal expires in 2024.
ITV will show all men’s matches outside the major tournaments.
The channel has a long association with the English side. It shared coverage with Sky Sports until Channel 4 stepped in last year to take over the rights for the Nations League and European qualifiers to next year’s European Championship. ITV will then share the rights for the tournament with the BBC before their deal takes effect.
The move has been welcomed by ITV bosses and comes at a time when the broadcaster is leading the way, with the rights to the ongoing Rugby World Cup in France.

It will also provide greater exposure for the Football Association and its commercial partners.
ITV has now confirmed its agreement with UEFA and announced that all England home and away matches will be shown during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2028 qualifying campaigns.
The broadcaster will also air all English UEFA Nations League matches and friendlies, with at least 40 matches covered by the rights deal.
