EXCLUSIVE: Gemma Collins shares her hopes to cover Vogue as former editor Edward Enninful ‘is a fan’ after ditching ‘loud and proud’ style for ‘look, that’s more Victoria Beckham’
Gemma Collins has shared her hopes of appearing in British Vogue as she revealed the magazine’s former editor Edward Enninful is a fan of hers.
After ditching her ‘loud and proud’ style for ‘a look that’s more Victoria Beckham’, the 42-year-old TV personality discussed toning down her outfits in an exclusive interview with MailOnline.
Joking that things are “kind of going well”, she underwent a transformation with TK Maxx and admitted that people “may not recognize The GC now”.
Elsewhere, Gemma, who once spent £50,000 a day in Gucci, explained that she now ‘loves bargains on the high street’ after her spending habits made her ‘sick’.
Known for her flamboyant looks with bold, bright colors and lots of feathers, Gemma tried out denim and camel shades as she adopted ‘the low-key luxury trend’ in a new photoshoot with the retailer.

The former TOWIE star also revealed her dreams of covering Vogue, saying: ‘I heard Edward Enninful is a fan of mine!’
“I was hoping he would put me on the cover of Vogue after Maya Jama did hers.”
Sadly, the editor-in-chief of British Vogue announced he would be stepping down from his role amid rumors of a transatlantic power struggle with Anna Wintour. He has now been replaced by Chioma Nnadi.
“I don’t know if I’ll ever make the cover now!” Gemma exclaimed: ‘I had all my hopes in Edward Enninful becoming a fan!’
Speaking about her style overhaul, she added: ‘I like to be loud and proud, but since I found the low-key luxury trend, I’m going to hit those autumnal shades.
‘I’m doing a bit well, I’m 42 and there’s a time and a place for everything.’
Gemma cited Posh Spice as her inspiration: ‘Victoria Beckham nails it every time and I thought maybe I should walk around Knightsbridge and look a bit more VB.
‘I don’t think people will recognize me! They’ll say, “Is that the GC in a camel coat?!”
“These camel and beige tones are excellent for winter, so you’ll be seeing a lot of them from me.”

Bargain hunter: Gemma also admitted she now ‘feels sick’ thinking about how much she used to spend, saying ‘people should be buying houses, not handbags’
‘I’m going all-in for the winter. I have been taken out of my comfort zone. I was wearing a denim skirt! I look stylish, honey.”
While she’s teaming up with TK Maxx for the campaign ‘There’s no deal like a TK Deal’, Gemma also admitted she now ‘feels sick’ thinking about how much she used to spend, saying that ‘people should be buying houses and no handbags. ‘
‘I feel really sick about the way I used to spend money. Maybe everyone needs to get it out of their system at some point.
‘But it makes me sick how much money I used to spend in the designer stores. If you want a Chanel handbag, that’s an investment, but people should buy properties and not handbags, that’s for sure.
“Now I go to TK Maxx and I can get a full outfit and everything for the same price as a bag.”
