EXCLUSIVE Former rugby badboy Danny Cipriani has signed up to take part in I’m A Celebrity
Former rugby badboy Danny Cipriani has signed up to take part in I’m A Celebrity this year, MailOnline can reveal.
The ex-England fly half is believed to be getting a six-figure sum of at least double what This Morning’s Josie Gibson gets after ITV bosses pulled out all the stops to ensure he would appear in the reality show.
Sources at the channel say they expect the heartthrob Cipriani – who counts Kelly Brook and Katie Price among his former girlfriends – to be popular with female viewers, thanks to his muscular physique that he will almost certainly show off in the jungle.
One said: ‘Danny is one of the most exciting additions to this series, he will be the bulk of the line-up and he is already being talked about and shower scenes among the staff working on the programme.

He is also very much looking forward to revealing secrets of his showbiz lifestyle, he has been linked to many women over the years and his scandals are also well documented so there will be a lot for him to share.
“But he also has a sense of humour, which will make him popular not only with his camp mates, but also with the viewers at home.
Danny may be settled now, but he’s still wild at heart. There is good hope that he will reach the final.’
Cipriani, who married mental health campaigner Victoria Rose in April 2021, has also been linked to the late Caroline Flack, Lindsay Lohan, Cheeky Girl Monica Irimia and television host Kirsty Gallacher.
During his days as a rugby player, 35-year-old Cipriani was embroiled in numerous scandals, including being fined £2,000 after pleading guilty to charges of common assault and resisting arrest in an incident at a Jersey nightclub in 2018.
The star was on a pre-season tour with his team Gloucester when he got into an argument with a doorman who objected to him taking two drinks out on a night out. A police station was later bruised when he refused to be arrested.
Cipriani said he was mortified that he “acted in a manner that I deeply regret” following his court appearance.

He was also convicted of drunk driving in 2015 after crashing his black Mercedes into a London taxi. As a result, he was ordered to pay £7,620 in fines and costs, and given an 18-month driving ban.
Cipriani, who grew up in Putney, South West London, was single-handedly raised by mother Anne after his father Jay left to return to his native Trinidad when the sportsman was still a young boy.
Josie has also signed up for the show, but sources say former Prime Minister Liz Truss will not take part after she was rumored to be asked.
Other names mentioned for flying to Australia include Denise Van Outen and Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall.
